OMG!!!
In fact, 1 to 10 of the Blu-ray is all DISNEY, whether it's miramax or disney or touchstone. The BD ranked average: 30
HD DVD dropped to 331

I didn't order Transformers myself, but got an email from HD Addicts stating that Paramount was only shipping 65% of it's Transformers orders.

Looking good.

I'll be buying PotC 2 any minute now myself.

Nice to hear of shortages of Transformers also,.. I so want to see the hopes of the HD DUD-ers shattered.

That would be absolutely crazy if it happened. But it looks like the Disney/Sony campaign to water down the "Transformers" impact will work.

Wait until Transformers actually comes out before making those predictions. What is really sad is how long has Pirates been out and it's gaining on a movie not yet released. Transformers will be huge.

Still not planning on running out to buy a Toshiba anytime soon though.

EDIT: What you SHOULD be talking about is HD-DVD has only 2 in the top 25. Then again, it's only Amazon so...

Damn Paramount! Can you imagine the numbers they'd be pulling in if Transformers was on Blu? You know it would be #1 on Amazon, and everywhere else for that matter, and pulling in 300 like numbers.

I guess the $150 million helps ease that pain though.

Oh well...I'll pick up a used SD DVD copy from our local video store in a few weeks for around five bucks to tide me over until it's eventual Blu release. They always get a ton of the most popular movies in on release day, then sell them off to make room for new flicks.

Default Go Pirates!

And not the one's in Pittsburgh....

On amazon's Top Ten list, *both* Pirates movies have moved onto the list this morning (I ordered both this morning from amazon). Again, as someone already said, it's interesting that titles that have been out for quite some time are moving up that list and gaining on Transformers.

BTW, I asked this elsewhere; but I believe that amazon and other online sites do ding bank accounts and also *send out* many pre-orders the weekend *before* the instore sale date.

So, since this occurs on a previous week (using the Monday thru Sunday Neilsen week to go by), don't these *previous weekend* pre-order shipments actually count for previous week orders as far as Neilsen is concerned? (Therefore, the Transformer sales for tomorrow's instore date actually have already started this past weekend since some customers have already been billed and have already seen their pre-orders ship?)

im not a doctor , but there is more blu ray players in the world then HD DVD players , plus pirates 1 and 2 both have A+ PQ plus there is a massive amount of blu ray sales = better numbers for blu ray.

for the love of high def people get over transformers!

It's Amazon ratings, they're arbitrary and change by the minute. They mean nothing other than "yay BOGO"

When it looks good for us, or when it looks good for them, we need to be consistant with analysis.

Just order-ed PotC 2 along with the prestige and got concerned when I saw something about october 22 mention-ed but I guess that's when they expect to deliver because they are both still in stock for now.

Happy to join the party. What a Blu week!

True enough Wicky, but it definitely looks like the BOGO-offer is having an impact on sales. How can "Transformers" bring HD-DVD over 50% sales when the BOGO-offer is in effect? I will be really surprised if it does break 50%. I think this move was strategicaly a great move by Sony/Disney.

With all the BOGO and all the titles, you'd think they could sell a few hundred thousand units overall, if HDM is at all interesting to people.

Get the word out to PS/3 owners.
