Default BD doin' pretty good on the Amazon charts

Even tho transformers is No. 1, do a query on top 25... 23 titles made the list of BD.

Transformers - 5th
Pirates of the Caribbean 2 - 7th
Pirates of the Caribbean - 8th

Very impressive, I must say considering the fact that Pirates of the Caribbean movies were released a few months ago.

Not to mention that Transformers is the only HD DVD in the top 10.

Am I missing something? Why the hell are there so many Blu Rays in the top 100. And why are some of the older titles like Pirates and the Prestige doing so well?

I imagine it's due to the Buy One, Get One Free sale.

LOL 9 of the top 10 are Diisney titles. Sony should do a BOGO on Amazon later this week and really boost the numbers.

POTC 2 is at number 6 in amazon sales rankings with POTC 1 #7 and Apocalypto at #11. In fact, the average sales rankings for the top 10 Blu-ray movies is 23 (I have never seen that) while HD DVD's top 10 is 303. This sale is getting a massive response forn Blu-ray owner. Great move by the BDA to deny HD DVd the one week were they had a realistic chance of winning. Here's the link for the Amazon sale, just in case someone needs it

There are 27 Blu-ray movies in the Amazon top 100 sales rankings. That is the most impressive showing I have ever seen. This sale has to have a demoralizing effect on HD dVd owners. Here a link to the Amazon BOGO promotion
