And of High-Def discs sales, 46 out of the top 50 - aka 92% - are Blu-ray.

Another thing I'm noticing, is that there are 3 or 4 HD DVD movies that have dropped in rank, but none for blu-ray. I'm not sure if this is normal but it would be another interesting figure to watch. If their movies keep dropping like that it can't look good to the studios. So what if they get a spike here and there for a single movie if they don't keep selling them. POTC 1 & 2 have been out for a while and look at them now .

Great news! POTC 2 has past Transformers in the Amazon rankings, and it is now at #5.

Transformers what? Its all in the numbers game guys, there are far more Blu-ray players out than HD-DVD. For every Transformers sold, there are at least 2 (probably significantly more with the sales going on) Blu-rays bought. The impact of Transformers wont be as great as many think it will be.

You guys should know that the amount of BDs that amazon sell are very small in comparison to the BDs that Best Buy (#1 seller of high def-media) sell. I am a Best Buy employee and I can tell you that the number of Blu-rays we sell per week according to the reports is 2,3 more times than the number of HD-DVDs that are sold.

Default Wow

Never expected that. Wouldn't be something if a catalogue title ends up beating Transformers. ( I Don't think it's really going to happen) Paramount upper management might commit suicide.

Yea, I noticed that my local BB has 6 full sections for BD's and only 4 for HD-DVD here in Cali. Nice trends going on at BB. Also, Pirates was pretty much picked clean off the shelves everywhere I went, as well as other sale items this week =).
