Default Ugliest Steelbook You Own Just Because you like the movie?

For me it would have to be the German Media Market John Rambo steel, but even that doesnt really look that bad. I am tempted to get the Zavvi Misery steelbook, if so that would be by far my ugliest steel. That thing looks hideous. But I really like that movie.

I probably have a couple but this is the one I can remember.

I bought it when I first started collecting so I didn't pay attention to the artwork. It is godawful.

The Lords of Salem (Best Buy Exclusive). It's just the picture of Sheri Moon in the scary make up against a plain gold metallic background. It's not so much ugly as cheap-looking and boring.

I try not to buy ugly steelbooks as there's typically an alternative somewhere in the world. But it would have to be this:

And this is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. But that cover...

Without a doubt:

Text printed onto the front and back, ratings logos also printed on, no interior artwork... it just violates every rule of what a Steelbook shouldn't do lol

What's really sad is that I fully intend to get that LEGEND steelbook and I am going to have to pay quite a bit for it. Im just not confident there will be another release for it on steelbook. But that will be a bit down the road because it is the lowest priority on my wish list.

What I did was put Lenticular magnets on the front and the back!

Thanks for the tip! I just bought one. Also bought one for my GET OUT steelbook. I do wish the magnets weren't the changing picture kind. Do these magnets still allow the steels to stack up seamlessly against the other steels on the shelf? Are there any problems with the magnet scratching the other steels against it?

They will stack fine. It just adds a couple of millimeters of thickness.
As for scratching- I can't honestly say, because I keep all of my steelbooks in Steelbook Central slipcovers. (And the magnets are so thin, that they still fit into the standard SCF1 steelbook slipcover without being snug)

I have magnets on the backs of all my Underworld steels and a few of the DCEU steelbooks, and like you, they still fit in my Steel Shells.

The only movie I can think of is the original Ex Machina steelbook. I much prefer the versions with Alicia actually on the cover which I got letter eventually.

Even some of the bad ones on here anger/upset me less than the couple of Best Buy "comic book art" steels I own for DC/Sony comic book movies.

Someone needs to post that Great Gatsby one. Mind you the Speed one is pretty abysmal.

Maybe Sausage Party. It's so unimaginative and the yellow is obnoxious.
