With horror being my favorite genre, I have very much enjoyed the killer kids sub-genre. Here is all known (by me) killer kid flicks not on blu that I would love to see remastered and given the awesome treatment that companies, like Vinegar Syndrome/Severin/Arrow/Synapse/Kino/Garagehouse Pictures/ and others, give to their releases. She contends with her monstrous offspring and student revolts until she can't take it anymore. The mute mother stands idly by as her young children radicalise as a result of a society that thrives on conflict and manipulation. As she is drawn to a group of political activists, her absence allows her children to become increasingly extreme in their behaviour and lethal games they play. This is a difficult, political movie that’s not so easy to understand outside of its 60’s Italian context of heavy social unrest. On the other hand, it can be enjoyed as an offensive, ludicrous piece of work with a really nice Morricone score, which is mostly how I viewed it because I don’t fully grasp what is going on beneath the surface. I do feel that is selling the movie short however. Either way, it certainly makes an impression. Her 10-year-old son, Jamie is a loonball. He loves her way too much, and has an unhealthy and pathological attachment to his mother. After she remarries, his rage and misery overwhelm him and he plots to kill his stepfather. Attention, the Kids Are Watching (1978) Attention, les enfants regardent (original title) 1h 43min | Drama, Thriller https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077184/ In a small town by the sea, a group of siblings aged 5 to 13 - Marlene, Dimitri, Marc (known as Boule) and Laetitia - spend most of their days watching television shows while under care of a Spanish nanny, who they call "Avocados", and dislike. One day they all go to the beach. The nanny falls asleep on a rubber raft while sunbaking on the sand. For a joke, they put her out to sea. She panics when she wakes up and ends up drowning. The kids do try to save her, but when they fail, they decide to not to report it and use the opportunity to live as they wish. A man arrives who saw the nanny drown. He blackmails the children. They decide to kill him.
