The Usual Fine Print:
  • 50 movies is the goal, but based on your own time and situation you can shoot for more or less, so we have different levels from Coal to Platinum:
    60 Movies - Platinum
    50 Movies - Gold
    40 Movies - Silver
    30 Movies - Bronze
    20 Movies - Copper
    10 Movies - Coal
<10 Movies - Why are you on this site?
  • If you're going to re-post your entire list every time, please hide it under spoiler tags.
  • If you're going to post pictures or .gifs for the films (poster art or Blu-ray covers, for example) please try not to use GIANT pictures or .gifs, and if there are tons of them, again - please hide under spoilers.

Encanto (2021)

It could’ve been better. Could see from them beginning who the “villain” was and what role the “hero” would have in the end. Also never cared for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s music. Cannot stand Shiny or You’re Welcome from Moana. We recently watched In the Heights and Vivo; both 3/5 as well. Have had enough of it. Reminds me of the stuff from Monster High or any Disney show my daughter watches.

Guess I’m getting old.

Category: Scavenger Hunt

A film which won at least one Acting Oscar (Best Actor: Anthony Hopkins):

The Father (2020, UK/France)

Well-acted but average movie; you may find yourself asking what the point of this movie is.
2.5/5

A film combining animated and live-action characters:

Mary Poppins (1964)

Infectious and very enjoyable family movie (but many of you would have already known that)
4/5

A film whose title suggests it's a horror film, but it's not (Alternate list):

Game of Death (1978, Hong Kong/USA)

Bruce Lee stars in this entertaining martial arts movie; it has well-staged action scenes, but a flimsy story
