Not shitting on their work, just thought Bay shot it in an incoherent way.

Definitely, but's one thing that hardly gets brought up with Bay's films when ILM found a way to blend the vfx seamlessly with live action way back in 2007.

Trailer isn't great. Steinfeld is annoying. But the footage towards the end was really good. Action looks far more comprehensible than what Bay's been showing up the last few movies.

The teaser made it look like something more than just another TF movie. After this official trailer it now looks like just another TF movie.

It’s not like the Bay movies except for a kid getting his/her first car that happens to be a robot. Tone and everything else is way different.

I'm just hoping this doesn't further convolute the already too convoluted history we've been given of these characters on earth.

Starting fresh with a Bumblebee side story will give us a break from whatever The Last Knight was and I'm hoping the stuff with the peripheral characters is kept to a minimum. Having Bumblebee set up on as a
[Show spoiler]war criminal who fled to earth
here seems to ignore him apparently being a WW2 hero as of The Last Knight. So hopefully this is them starting somewhat fresh with a soft reboot of sorts.

So far I'm looking more forward to taking my son to this than Into the Spider-verse and Illumination's Grinch remake.

Bay should have stopped directing these movies a long time ago. You can already see the improvements made without Bay baying the shit out of this.

I liked the 2007 original movie, but all the sequels ranged from mediocre to terrible. I'm digging the look of this. Looks to be an improvement all around, but I'm still going to be cautiously optimistic.

It's not. Still the same Bumblebee and The Last Knight went out of its way to set up this movie and other possible Bumblebee spinoffs/sequels. I'm honestly really curious to see how audiences react to this one but frankly at this point, I don't think it's gonna do too well. Reviews are a different matter though.

I think this will underperform. It's too soon after TLK where franchise fatigue had set in majorly. Yes this looks a bit different and we film fans know that but to the general audience it kind of just looks like more of the same. The 80's thing isn't even apparent in that new trailer.

This also kind of looks like a reboot too which I don't think audiences will go for either. It's a kind of damned if they do damned if they don't problem. Looks the same as the others but also looks like a fresh start (but not in an appealing way). I know the ball was already well and truly rolling on this movie when TLK was released so it was too late to cancel but they really should have waited longer. Obviously they had no idea that TLK would gross so much less than AOE.

The release date will hurt this more than anything. Their best hope is to really market it towards younger audiences as counter-programming to Aquaman (no one's gonna see Alita anyway) and maybe some G1 fans will show up out of curiosity. If the movie's good, word-of-mouth should help it reach a respectable gross. Aquaman will win the weekend anyway.

Doubt it. If the movie's good then people will show up. Even if it isn't, there isn't much else to see at that point.

Any other weekend, Bumblebee wouldíve had an IMAX and/or Dolby Cinema release. Donít think thatís happening this time around.

Looks okay. Honestly though, the only thing that sells this movie for me personally is the G1 robots. Without those, I'd definitely skip this. But I will see it because Optimus.

Really hope Hot Rod shows up. He's my favorite G1 robot.
