Toshiba making a Blu-ray player? - Blu-ray Forum

I was looking around a couple of sites, when i got to 1080living.com. It said that Toshiba plans on making a couple of Blu-ray players to sell by the summer. I take this as Toshiba officially saying that they screwed up with HD-DVD and going with the smarter, better choice. I would like to hear your thoughts.

I already have one. Toshiba's a huge supporter of Blu-ray in micronesia. I just had it imported last month. Works beautifully and is region free. It even plays XBOX360 and PS3 games. Can't lose there, this thing does everything. Truly amazing peice of technology that I highly recomend

Damn it!!! I didn't even notice that

I would've taken a screenshot. I usually do under those circumstances. When I hit 666 views on myspace I took a screenshot and did a whole bulletin about it........CRAP!!! And I'm always the one telling everyone to be more observant, guess I'm eatin' crow this time. But thanks for noticing, you didn't by any chance take a screenshot for me did you?

Technically, I think they're pretty much tied to the Titanic at this point. They managed to crash it into an ice berg though, so serves them right. Same with Paramount. Both companies look like idiots at this point. And every day they continue to support HD DVD, they look dumber and dumber and more and more stubborn. It's sad... The only one I don't mind as much is Universal because they've supported HD DVD the right way from the get go. Taking advantage as much as possible of the format and releasing some quality titles that should've brought in larger crowds.

Which would you count on more though; uni & para giving up first or tosh giving up first. Cos if either of them do its the end for HD DVD.

Don't you think we should ask for *more* than a million dollars? A million dollars isn't exactly a lot of money these days. Virtucon alone makes over 9 billion dollars a year!
