Is THIS an option for you?

I have the RF-82 II Floorstanding Speakers and RC-62 II Center Channel Speaker. The rest are speakers I already had so I mixed and matched. They're really nice for the price. Didn't break the bank on them. I'm sure you get your money's worth with a five figure B&W, but it's not necessary.

I was just wondering what anybody's opinion is on the Klipsch R12SW? I've looked around but have been unable to find any reviews on it. I was wondering how it compared to the RW12D?

I've had my Klipsch SW-350 for years now and its never let me down. I'm constantly surprised by how hard this thing punches. I find myself having to occasionally back it off a little more which is just fine by me. I'd rather have an over achiever than under performer. Whether its been in a full size living room or apartment, this sub really brings it.
Even the sub that came with the Promedia 2.1 has a serious thump. All my speakers are Klipsch. I just love their stuff.

Just purchased a Klipsch 12-HG for $200 at Fry's, I read a lot and that seems like a better sub than others in the <300 price range.

I will post my impressions once I have it hooked up.

I picked one of those up for my wife's home office a couple of weeks ago. It's quite decent - it's very clean, you just can't blast it at high volume, or it breaks up. I like it a lot, it's a medium sized converted bedroom. Sounds great.

Tell us how it goes for you.

I like it so far. I don't have it positioned correctly I think in my room because I don't feel a lot of output coming out of it unless gain is turned way up, but it definitely has good impact. It is much bigger than I expected.

Scenes tested :-

Transformers: Age of Extinction which is on Netflix, in the opening scene when the alien touches the controls there's a big bass hit.

Edge of Tomorrow opening logo - this is a dangerous scene as it has LFE sweeps going all the way down into single digits So I was careful to turn the sub down to avoid damage. It cannot go much below 22Hz in my room anyway but you definitely feel the wave of bass pressurize the room. But I thought in the opening battle scene it lacked something.

I have one issue - the auto on/off is pretty unreliable. At first it would never go into standby at all, now it does sometimes. I read others have this problem too.

Next up - do sub crawl and take some measurements, but I don't have a mic yet.

Bumping this old thread up.

I had (well still have actually) a Yamaha YST-SW320 (several years old,but still going strong) and a Klipsch SW-110 in a front/rear configuration, but just recently purchased 2 R110SWs to replace both and running as front left/right subs. Didn't really need them, but wanted a matching set and got what I thought was a decent price $720 shipped for the 2. Still breaking them in, but they really have a nice, smooth depth to them from what I've heard.

Still debating about keeping the first Klipsch as a third sub in the rear, but honestly don't see a need for it. Probably will try and just sell it and the Yamaha.

It may be a bit of a hassle to set up three subs, but it's worth it.

Congrats on your new purchase.

I run three subs, 2 in the front, 1 right behind the sofa. I agree with Blu-Dog, it's definitely worth the time setting them up properly.

Much appreciated. Exactly as I was thinking of doing with the other Klipsch, still a possibility.

Yeah, I say try it out, especially seeing as you've got third one.

Let us know how it goes.

I currently have a JBL ES250P and I'm looking to upgrade. The specs are 12" and 400 watts RMS. I'm considering a R115SW or (2) R110SW. Which option would be best? (Room is 11x22)

Budget is $1000

Back in June I was looking for a sub for my living room and noticed that Best Buy was having a sale on the R-10SWi (wireless) model for $199.99. I bought one, and was very happy up until this past Thursday when the sub died all of a sudden. Since it's well past BB's return/exchange 15 day policy, I had no choice but to file a warranty claim with Klipsch as I've placed a warranty support ticket on 8/10/17. I didn't hear from them until yesterday to acknowledge that I would get another email from their exchange dept. So today, they sent me another email and included a UPS shipping label so that I can ship my defective sub back before they ship me a replacement which I plan to do tomorrow. Good thing I kept the original box, and I'm glad they did the right thing to pay for shipping.

Anyone had any warranty experiences with this company?

Just a quick update, I've shipped my defective sub off to Klipsch on 8/16, and they received it (in Arkansas) on 8/21. I posted on the ticket thread online to get a status of my claim and they confirmed that they received it on 8/21/17 as the warehouse hasn't looked at my sub as it that it can take 4-7 days for them to look at it.

I wish the process was a little faster, as I was hoping a new sub would of been shipped to me by now. Regardless, I'm just glad I'm not getting the run around so far during this whole process.
