Default New Collector Here

I work at a small local theater and spend a lot of time with movies haha. I'm our projectionist and handle all the theater materials (DCPs, Posters, etc...).

Anyways, me and some co-workers frequently watch movies after-hours in the theater with a nearby RedBox being our best friend for blu-ray movies to watch. But we'd been REALLY wanting to watch "your name.", the highly acclaimed anime feature.

So I finally bit the bullet and bought it on Blu-ray from Walmart and we watched it at the theater. I had no bad feelings about the purchase.

Shortly after I found a guy on craigslist selling about 700 blu-rays for 4$ each. I think the first purchase sent me down a rabbit hole, cause I've bought around 55 movies from him already haha. Planning about another 10 before I've got all the ones I like from him.

I definitely think it's more about getting movies I like, than it is about the quantity style collecting.

Currently I'm hunting those "pick titles bluray lots" on eBay and have 10 ordered already. But I'm getting hurt by wanting a few movies that are OOP which is depressing cause I really want Monkeybone specifically haha.

Anyways... Hey community. I look forward to being apart of this hobby

Cool. There are a lot of benefits to sticking to quality over quantity.
