Default Best DVD Plastic Case replacement? Plastic Sleeves?

Hi

I want to replace around 300 dvd cases with thinner plastic sleeves.

I have found this product on Amazon which appears to be quite good. Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Hi, Unfortunately a lot of members don't come by this sub-forum. And many members don't speak much about DVD's at all. Also, a lot of people have said that they've gotten rid of much/all of their collections. So I doubt very many who've seen your thread would be able to help you. I do have a lot of DVD's myself, but know nothing of replacement cases, sorry.

You might try creating a thread in the DVD sub-forum: https://forum.blu-ray.com/forumdisplay.php?f=153 It's less frequented too, but obviously attracts more people interested in DVD's who would see it.

I wouldn't use those. You'll have to fold and crease the wrap to make it flat. You're better off putting the wraps in A4 folders and buying disc holders than go in binders (or use PC disc storage trays).

It won't be hugely expensive for 300 DVDs, it's when you go into the thousands the price mounts up.

This is an issue I'm having with my DVD collection. I swapped all out for case logic binders and keep the art work in separate ring binders. I have came up with a new storage solution for my blu rays and may apply it to my dvds as well , its the same idea as the wallets you linked to but cheaper . If I get enough posts in will make a thread showing my idea and see what people think. I like having the artwork with the disc.

I love discsox. They are a bit pricey and only hold 2 discs.

I'm giving 9mm Clear single dvd case with insert flaps a try. I have the 7mm Godfather Restoration slimcases that I tried a couple of dvd covers in, but the covers buckle some in them. Hoping covers will fit in the 9mm without having to trim any. I read someplace else here that they should. I would like to go to the sleeves. But, since I have so many boxsets, slipcovers, etc... that I wouldn't convert to sleeves, I'll just try gaining some space by shrinking the 14mm single DVD cases for these.
Side note: 9mm case seem to have a lot less information out there than the 7mm. Almost no info in fact.

Results for the 9mm cases:
Nope, a regular dvd case cover doesn't fit in these cases without buckling. Those extra 2mm's just aren't enough. But, I don't have to trim quite as much off the cover. Less then ideal, but I don't have to print new covers. Besides, I'm keeping these and if I replace them with blurays, I'll just give them to family.

We transferred all our DVDs to Case Logic cases like this one and we quite like them.

The handles are sturdy and it's easy to pull off the shelf with one hand, hold it, and unzip it with the other.
