Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they take PayPal?

I did place an order with them through card (I forget if it was Openpay, I guess so) but they did ultimately refund me due to out of stock.

You can always dispute the charge/file a chargeback with your credit card company if double charged. Or email JSDVD.

Just note that (at least in my case) there's a 3% foreign transaction fee on the card from the bank.

I've used JSDVD for years with no issues. Yes, they have a different way of entering the credit card, but it's not a big deal.

I never received a confirmation email, and when I log into my account under my orders, it says "you have not made any purchases." Any advice from someone who has successfully ordered from this site?
Yeah, JSDVD have an odd payment system, but they are totally legit and I haven’t had any issues ordering through them ever.

Sadly not. Life would be so much simpler if they did.

Does the website calculate shipping cost before you pay now? Or does that still come later?

Ok, I tried again and I still can't place an order. I read a tip (after some quick googling) that said to use the "normal payment" button after entering CC info. After doing so it sent me to an authentication page which eventually timed out to the following error:

This page isn’t working authentication.cardinalcommerce.com didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

I just want to order some Blu-rays!

EDIT: I was finally able to place an order. I didn't do anything differently, it just randomly worked. Oh well, just happy to finally order the movies!

I'm on holiday in Tokyo, Japan in a couple of weeks - any local vendors recommended?

Hong Kong distributor Panorama launched their e-shop a few months ago.

I put in a pretty big order and it was extremely well-packed. It came in a sturdy box and all the discs were bubblewrapped. They even surrounded the inside of the box with that kind of thin packing foam so nothing would move around or touch the sides.

Their prices are about 10-20HKD cheaper than DDDHouse. The postage was cheaper for me too. It was about half the price of a similar sized order from DDDHouse, and it even came by express.

My only complaints are that they didn't send a shipping confirmation or update my order status, and there's only choice for shipping. I'm definitely gonna buy direct now for Panorama discs.

I purchased from their older online shop a year or two ago as it was out of stock on DDDH. I think the disc itself was cheaper, but their only shipping option was international priority and so with the high shipping cost versus DDDH's cheap epacket, it wound up costing more than it would have from DDDH had it been in stock. Panorama also required signature confirmation when I got it.

I just checked, and you're right. It looks like if you order 20+ items on Panorama, the shipping cost resets or gets halved though. Looks like it's really only worth it for big orders.
