It's 108 days until the next comic convention. Time to go downstairs and get my hands dirty; boatloads of things to be sorted, organized, and eventually priced. I'm having some BIIIIIG sales this year; I'm getting out of the fandom business! I've had a lot of fun, and met some amazing people from every corner of the globe, and made some money while I did it all. But I want some more of my free time back. So it's time to begin letting go. I've made my money; the stuff I'll have at shows will always be below cost, and below guide. The other dealers will hate me. Ha!

I’ve struck out trying to get a decent coffee here at camp. On my next rotation in, I gotta bring a Kuereg.
Now, I gotta get stuff ready for my first n/s.

Very easy to do. I feel sorry for all the people who end up letting the dealer do it for $115. You can buy the filter from Walmart for around $20 and install it in under 5 mins.

I just changed the filter on my Ex’s car a few days ago.
The location wasn’t like on my truck so I YouTube’d it.
This is a good reminder that I should do my truck when I get back to the world.

Dropped the kiddo & Ex off at the airport this morning and I'm now packing up to check out of this hotel room. I have to find some decent coffee (these keurig pods suck) before I head to my parents' place for the next couple days.

I normally do most of the work on our vehicles, but my truck needed a brake inspection and oil change and I had zero time to get to it last week but wanted it done before I drove the 170 miles round trip to Dodgers stadium last Saturday for a game. It was a last minute decision to go to the game so I didn't have time to plan, and my truck requires dropping the skid plate just to get to the filter so it isn't just a quick 10 min job. So I had my wife take it in. $95 later (just the oil change, not the inspection) I was like WTF? Did prices go up that much on oil? Nope, I checked last night and regular price would have cost me $45 w/tax for 6 quarts of synthetic and a good filter (not that cheap Fram crap).

I could have spent that entire $50 savings to buy myself a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink in 2023 post-pandemic California.

Not sleeping. Lungs a bit tight due to the smoke from the wildfire in the neighbouring province. Air Quality is poor. Severe Warnings etc. Still, it’s just smoke. Could be worse.

Spend the rest of the day playing Persona 5 before going to bed at 7:30 so I can get to 9-4 orientation tomorrow for my new site lead job.
