I thought about a plus or ultra, but I think adding another PB12 would be the way to go.

There are plenty of great options out there right now. Dual Empires is sure tempting for the $$$. New sledge amp Ultra would be sweet too. I was able to hear a Rythmik recently and they are awesome too.

Who know's, maybe DM is santa and will drop ultras off at all of our houses in December lol

Dude, your B&W's and mono's make me tear up with happiness

Yeah I'm in a wait-and-see mode with the new Ultra amps. I think the difference will be at really high SPL's. I don't push my Ultra that much so it won't make a huge difference in my case. It's good that SVS kept the prices the same for now. That makes it tempting.

BTW, I chuckled on your comment about my gear, thanks.

What do you mean by "I don't push my Ultra that much"!!!!!
Eric I wish I had an Ultra to push until the walls came crumbling down around me!!

On.. I've just remembered there's a word for that BASS HEAD!!!

Now my esoteric, audiophile friend, are you telling me that this forum is actually for people that appreciate SVS subs for their wonderful control and ability to get down low aswell?

Man, I near to find a forum that works towards max SPL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping to get the Plus breaking a sweat tonight, so I asked my 16 yo what he wanted to watch. Threw on Matrix expecting to have a night of low, gut punching SVS.
Don't you hate it when the LFE is ordinary.

What I meant was that I and my house usually give up before my Ultra does, if you know what I mean.

You should be able to get the amp replaced if you want to. They got a 45-day no questions asked guarantee. If I were you I'd wait for reviews and feedback from other owners before doing so. Meanwhile, contact SVS to confirm the upgrade is possible just to be sure.

I watched percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief yesterday. Tons of good LFE throughout the movie.

A worthwhile watch if you haven't already!

Default New Ultra amp manual

http://www.svsound.com/manuals/SVS_8...Manual_WEB.pdf

Notice that there's no 15 or 10 Hz tunes any more! The 1000D amp apparently will only have 20, 16 (not 15) Hz and sealed modes. This may deter me from upgrading at all.

Yeah I just read that from the AVS thread too. I have mine sat at 15Hz now. I think for me if I get a 2nd Ultra this means I'd have to upgrade my current amp. Hmm.

I'm surprised the configuration has changed that much. The old BASH amps will be something of a novelty I think, with the extra tuning options. Since I run mine in 20 Hz tune, I guess it's not really an issue. But if you run 15 or 10 Hz tune then it would be.

X2 SVS is excellent about not releasing something before all the bugs are out of it but with that being said chit can still happen and if its not broke why fix it so I say hang on to the bash amp for a while

Thats good for me because then there would be a 16hz tune to match my plus although the 15 and 16 are meshing pretty good as is .

Check out the Subrisers that Rob (PT Players) made for me.
He hung around for a while and we did some demoing with both movies and vinyl.
We broke two more of my wifes wine glasses watching WOTW.
