Default Theater-Music-Bedroom Room Re-model

So I just finished taking down a wall that shared my office and bedroom closet. I did framing, drywall, trim, flooring, and electric work that was otherwise unknown to me. The only thing that wasn't done by me was the plumbing. I now have a new half-bathroom and a walk-in closet that wasn't walk-in before. I did take on a roommate for 2 months that occupied the basement bedroom. He moved out of town and that room is now empty. So I've decided to make it my theater room. The living room will become a dedicated music room. I've also got plans for my bedroom "home theater" and will be my temporary office until I can convert my odd basement room to one in the long term future. The overall looks of the rooms will be completely changed from how they are now. I expect completion around fall because I have quite a lot of landscaping-outside projects I want to get done.

Some pics:

What it more or less looks like from the start (living room is in my gallery)...

Some progress.....

My overpriced toy I just got today to cut holes in the wall....

Alright I'd say it was a rather productive night. Got some upper wall framing done in the theater room, and cut most of the wall out in the bedroom. Time to clean up and watch a movie.

Thanks. The upper wall framing I'm doing is going to have recessed lighting. I'm going to attempt to do this all myself (and in the process clean up the electric non-fire hazard mess in the odd room that borders the bedroom). The bedroom is going to have recessed wall/shelf area where I plan on putting my tv. The wall next to the one I'm cutting into I plan on making a desk area.

Bedroom is getting 1st priority due to the dust (I've got asthma), I'm in it the most, and possible falling down the stairs.

When I think I'm done with something my wandering bored mind comes up with something. I got the recessed wall framed in. Time to go to Lowe's to get some supplies. I'm going to put a recessed light in the area.

I've got most of the drywall done. Drywalling should be finished by tonight. I've gone with a new paint scheme also.

There is a lot of little things to do on these projects that is rather tedious, annoying, and time consuming. Putting together the home theater aspect of things won't take nearly as long as the construction-build aspect.

I've got most of my painting done. New ceiling fan installed. I need to wire up some outlets, finish desk area, fix closet door frame, get a speakerbar, and get a different tv. I was contemplating keeping my 50" plasma there but the glare is too much so it will go elsewhere.

Thanks. The painting and cleaning has been the worst part. Time consuming. My basement theater shouldn't be as bad. I'm in it right now as under severe thunderstorm warning and sirens went off from high wind gusts. Took a sick day as I haven't felt well since yesterday. Feeling a bit more with it right now. Might do some touch up painting and overall house cleaning. The bathroom/bedroom closet/bedroom renovations has left my overall house looking like a construction zone mess.

It is driving me nuts. My house was looking decent about 2 weeks ago when I took this project on shortly after getting the bathroom/bedroom closet project done. I just don't have the motivation right now to take on the kitchen/dining/living room cleaning. I did until yesterday when I didn't start feeling well. I get rid of this crud I have I'll tackle the house cleaning.

The re-model job is done. I need to touch up some paint spots but other than that it is done. I'll be adding speakers and possibly new tv hopefully sometime in the near future.

Looks great Sean. I like the computer desk. It takes up very little room.
