Tiger Lab were one of the first to announce their titles. Milan also announced they’ve got the soundtrack for the new My Hero Academia film and one other title that I’m not allowed to reveal.

I'd pick some of these up if they aren't pressed at United. That's becoming more and more the norm these days since Rainbo closed and those guys were horrible too.

I thought there would be something more interesting, but it's still good items. I am a bit surprised by this Death Note box. What will be there? Original content + mass, some edit version and the like? I wonder about it.

What were you hoping for?

I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I am quite pleased to hear we're getting more Kaoru Wada on vinyl with 3x3 Eyes and Yasushi Ishii's stellar work on Hellsing.

From what I understand, Tiger Lab Vinyl have a pretty good relationship with Madhouse, which is how we're seeing the deluxe treatment for Death Note as well as the announcements for Hunter X Hunter and Tokyo Godfathers. I was informed there's still more to come. TLV just wanted to announce the 2020 subscription.

Boogiepop Phantom, Evangelion, Gunbuster or Bubblegum Crisis?

I mean, they said "these announcements blow your mind". For me, last subscription was better than this. Death Note maybe cool, but some duplicate for me - expensive box, and the best part I have right now. I know, that some of OST can be hard to get for TL, but still

I see. Yeah, that's such a subjective statement. You're bound to disappoint when you try to drum up excitement with the term "blow your mind." Whenever there's a company rocking that proclamation, I temper my expectations, because what would blow their minds doesn't necessarily mean it's going to blow mine.

For what it's worth, I believe Milan Records are currently in bed with whoever owns the license to the Evangelion soundtrack. They've previously released a CD version and it is streaming on Spotify. I asked about the likelihood of them putting it out on vinyl and they've been trying to make it happen. I guess there's been a hold up on the Japanese side.
