"16x9 widescreen" is the fixed container size for UHD (and HD) video. "1.33:1" is the aspect ratio of the content within that container.

5 stars for the movie. 1 star for this scam cash grab. people. Evil Dead is a 1980 super low budget movie shot on 16mm film!!! 35mm film just qualifies for 4K coming in at 3.8K film grain resolved to pixel ratio. 16mm barley qualifies for 1080p Heck i barely see a difference between the DVD and the regular Blu ray. Evil dead will NEVER exist in 4K. This is a sham. Dont be suckered by it.

I agree with you that those two remakes are very well done, but in the case of TCM, the original still has a great re-watchability for me.

The Hills Have Eyes original, on the other hand, is one where I do prefer the remake.

Also worth putting the Dawn of the Dead remake into the same league as HHE and TCM.

there’s a noticable uptick in detail. Transfer looks more film-like to me than the Blu. Blacks are pretty deep. At the moment my I don’t have a system that supports Dolby-Vision but the HDR adds to the color. Keep in mind this is shot on 16mm Evil Dead and not Blade Runner so it’s always gonna look a bit ruff. Sound though is a HUGE improvement. Pleased with the black levels too
