My vote is for IMAX Deep Sea 3D but it's not on the poll.

Resident Evil isn't on there either. It's not released yet, but it is a 2010 release.

Unless you just don't like science fiction-fantasy, AVATAR is clearly the best 3D movie out there.

Tougher to pick the runner up. I'm really liking Despicable Me right now. It's a hard decision. There are a lot of great ones.

Talking Not on the List

Ok, I know this is going to be groan-inducing, but [Friday the 13th Part 3-D] was an awesome display of 3-D. Yeah the picture quality (clarity, detail, etc.) wasn't so good & you have to put up with the old red & blue glasses, but the 3-D was very well done. Many of those shots came way beyond the screen & up to the viewer. I thought it was nicely done.

That doesn't count since it's not yet been made into an official 3D Blu-ray. It would be cool if they did though.

I have the old crappy 3D version on standard DVD.

I REALLY want Avatar 3D, but apparently we have to wait another year until it's released for the general public :'(

I am only including non exclusives and thus shall not vote, but the best 3d discs have been (in no order):

Despicable
Legend of the Gaurdians
Resident Evil Afterlife

Default Best 3D Release In 2012

Just curious to hear what other members favorite or best 3D blu release(s) was for 2012. Live action: a tie between Prometheus and Avengers. Animated: Madagascar 3 (but I have not seen Up or Nemo yet so I may change my mind once I see them)

My most disappointed 3D release: Amazing Spider Man. Deserved to be better and it should have been,IMO.

I will agree with you. Bought a few 3D blurays this year and Prometheus was just stunning.

Don't get the Prometheus love at all. Average movie and VERY average to almost non existent 3D.

I'll go for Sammy 2, Madagascar 3 & Hugo as the best titles for this year, with Titanic and Avengers runner ups.

Avatar is great (well its a dire film but 3D wise it brilliant) but I don't count it as a release from this year really.

Worst would be I Robot, along with Spider-Man, though I did enjoy the film.

Nemo and Up have brilliant PQ, but the 3D is very average on both titles. Hopefully Monsters Inc will up the anti a little.
