After doing more tests, my UB-820 works just fine now, but my UB-9000 still runs into the same audio issues. I’ll check my equipment but it seems like it’s the equipment side.

Got my copy today. I ordered the new boxart, but got the classic.

Not a big deal, but still a bit bummed. At least the classic looks good.

EDIT: On another note, never having seen this in full, should I go TC or DC for my first viewing?

I'd watch the TC first. This way, watching the DC afterwards will be more rewarding.

Mine cover was slightly damaged in transit, emailed Turbine who are sending a replacement outer case

I ordered mine immediately. Waiting for arrival in Alberta, Canada. There have been no scans of the tracking number since Dec. 15th when it appears USPS got their hands on it. Notified Turbine but they don't have a resolution. Any other Canadians having a similar problem?

I am curious if the making of documentary is still in 480i. Since the special features are getting their own discs I thought maybe there was a slight chance they were upgraded somehow? And is the book bilingual?

The Making of is upscaled to 1080p. It's the original unedited LD version.
The book is German only.

Same happened to me, received my replacement outer case, in mint condition, the annoying thing is the replacement case was shipped in better packaging than the original order was, so had they packaged the original item this way, it wouldn't have been damaged

My inner packaging was damaged due to some folding error or whatnot. Turbine sent a new one that was ok, so it's all good.

I'm hesitant about buying this one because the last time I paid this much for a 4k disc was for the title "The Guest". A couple of months later, the HD version I had on iTunes had been upgraded to 4k automatically and I wouldn't have had to pay a cent.

What if the streaming services get the 4k copy on those sites? It would cost a lot less than $80+.

What if... well, no advice here. Get it. Or not. Noone knows for sure what happens tomorrow.
