Did a Candle for the Devil come with a booklet? I ordered it off HMV and when it arrived the cellophane was opened and there was no booklet.

Email just now -

Part of my order on its way - On the Run and Zone Troopers.

Looking like later arrival for Iceman Cometh. Hopefully before Xmas eve - obviously OTR and ZT have been out for a while now.

Yep, all of my sale order has shipped apart from Iceman Cometh. I assume that'll come separately now...oh well.

Luckily I now have a whole week off after Xmas (unexpectedly), so I can hopefully watch loads of stuff!

Also had part of my order dispatched. I thought they were waiting for preorders to be released before shipping it all in one go.

I guess because it is Iceman Cometh being the only preorder in my purchase they decided it was fairer to ship the rest now given the delay?

Here the same. I was expecting to wait because of the Iceman Cometh pre-order but they send the rest allready.

Does 88 Films ever re-release OOP titles? Looking at there 88 Asia List and there are some Shaw Brothers movies on there that are OOP and not available anywhere else on blu-ray.

If they don't, anybody have any decent tips on picking these up for reasonable prices? Some are reasonable on eBay, some are not.

I was hoping there was some small chance they would re-release Seeding Of A Ghost as there doesn't seem to be another release of it on Blu-Ray worldwide.

I'm not all that hopeful.

I'm hoping to see this around $60.00 before placing an order.

If I were to buy these from Eureka it would be about $85 USD. So, if it gets down to less than that, which I expect it will be, I am happy.

They sometimes reappear in-store at HMV/Fopp, I've noticed, but if they're gone online they're usually gone forever (some have shown up at the 88 Films store in the past but don't hang around that long as obviously they're OOP).

I vaguely regret not getting more as I didn't realise they wouldn't reprint them, but I did manage to get a load of the ones I was most interested in when they were first released: Five Element Ninjas, House of Traps, Masked Avengers, The Flying Guillotine, The Brave Archer, The Dragon Missile, One-Armed Swordsman, The Super Inframan, The Spiritual Boxer, The Vengeful Beauty, Come Drink with Me, The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter, and Human Lanterns. I do regret skipping Seeding of a Ghost (especially as it was often very cheap), and same for The Mighty Peking Man, but luckily it's also part of the first Shawscope set from Arrow.

Now have plenty to catch up with though: Clan of the White Lotus, The Chinese Boxer, Disciples of Shaolin, The Flag of Iron, Legendary Weapons of China, Monkey Fung Fu, Shaolin Mantis, Martial Club, Hero, Flying Guillotine 2. Also plenty of Jackie Chan titles, amongst others (I couldn't keep up, so just picked some that looked most appealing to me; ditto all the Eureka HK titles).

Will go for Eureka's releases. I like the happy and warmer colours and the extras looks very nice. And I dont want to wait another 6 months to see the movies. Importing will also kill my wallet.

So, just got a dispatch email and I thought "oh good, my sale order is on it's way" but strangely it's for Cannibal Holocaust, which I ordered with something that doesn't come out until January. So I'm getting this before my sale order, I thought they dispatch preorders altogether? Anyway, I'm going to have to email them tomorrow.

I definitely want to get 88's set too, i'm going to wait and see what price wowhd have for, i have had good experience with them with boxsets the last few times, prices were decent too, i just don't trust amazon with the packaging.
