I know NB is listed as PAL on Amazon UK, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything as they have discs I know to be region free listed as PAL on there. I'm wondering if this will truly be region locked?

Request for help please:
- Can I have some advice about which 88 films are worth getting? I know this is pretty much a matter of taste but as a bit of a guide I’m a fan of horror but not really “so bad it’s good” slashers and martial arts but only really top tier. The only 88 film I have currently is Five Element Ninja. I have read Street Trash is good in a cynical, amoral kind of way. Flying Guillotine? Those Japanese ghost flicks? Django?

If you enjoy Five Element Ninjas, then you’ll enjoy Killer Constable and House of Traps too I would think. I own them all, and they are all genuinely good martial arts flicks.

In terms of slashers, the Sleepaway Camp films are all very good - though you’re much better to start off with the first one (not currently released here). Children of the Corn is also a good set of movies to start with.

Apart from that, a lot of it does come down to personal preference - I personally love trashy elements in films, so much of my other suggestions are not going to match your criteria. I also find Street Trash to be a really fun film - quite like the Stuff (released by Arrow) if you’re into that, but it certainly has some trashy elements to it too.

Happy about Nightmare Beach, hopefully now with this and the release of Eyeball. 88 can go back to putting out some of Lenzi’s Eurocrime gems.

Thanks. That’s super helpful. I thought House of Traps and Killer Constable looked likely purchases. I’m not anti-trashy, just trashy with some thought (e.g. Cannibal Holocaust with it’s (at the time) original found footage thing and tourism porn subtext or even the absurd fun of Zombie vs. Shark from Flesh Eaters). Just like a spoonful of love with my exploitation.

I have seen the first Children of the Corn which had a fairly profound effect on me as a youngster so maybe I’ll revisit. Thanks again.

You really cant fo wrong with the recent release of Alice, Sweet Alice. It's probably the most straightforward-horror film they've released so far. It's a bit dated, but far from "so bad its good".

Definitely in for NIGHTMARE BEACH and HARLEQUIN.

Another Robert Powell movie I wouldn't mind seeing is WHAT WAITS BELOW.

Harlequin is a great pick up by 88 Films. I knew we had some Ozploitation coming but never thought we'd get that particular title. Definitely picking it up.

That’s four string titles. The Slasher and Vault lines interest me the most and I’m never in for a full slate from anyone, until now. All four for me.

Well I remember originall when he said it was going out of print, along with other early titles like Death Ship and Day of the Animals. In classic Code Red/Scorpion fashion, it seems to have miracously appeared again...

Man I was hoping someone would tackle Nightmare Beach, love this one. I also hope they do Primal Rage (1988) written by Lenzi, dig that one a lot too.

Any chance of releasing Monster Shark, 88 Films? Well, given the review for CR's, not only the master is terrible, but the compression sucks.

There was a rumour a while back that they had acquired Rome Armed To The Teeth. Man, I hope that’s true.

God Violent Naples would be amazing - it's the definitive Lenzi (and probably Italian) cop movie in my opinion, and it never seems to get released properly.

Wait, I didn't see anything about compression in this review. Did you post the wrong link? Because this review seems to be pretty good.
