Default Analog to Digital converters

Despite that CDs are now on the wane, I am going to keep my large collection of CDs and enjoy them. Rather than play them on a DVD or Blu-ray player, I prefer to listen to them via a good dedicated CD Player. To that end I am thinking of buying the highly rated Marantz CD6006 but the problem is that the new system I am installing has no RCA inputs on the soundbar.

Of course, I could connect the Marantz though an optical cable but then that would mean that I am using it purely as a transport and relying on the soundbar's DAC. What of I use RCA cable out of the Marantz and interpose with something like Loops Analog to Digital Converter, which then connects to the soundbar via an optical cable? Will the Marantz's own DAC be synthesizing the music?

Analog to Digital converters are rare and more expensive that Digital to Analog converters but there are a few with good reviews.
