Another very good factory direct company is EMP Tek. You can buy their speakers directly from the factory or from the Audioholics store. The towers are $795 a pair and the center is $220 each. The colors are Black or Red Burl.

Ah, you found him! lol I tried, but couldn't come up with anything. Ribbon tweeters are still something I'd like hear at least once. Their design is interesting to me. Darn you rural South Dakota! lol

Good luck finding a set of speakers OP! Maybe I'd start researching how people describe the Energy's you had (bright/forward/laid back/ etc) and then research for speakers that have the opposite sounds. If that makes sense...

If you are looking for an excellent speaker with ribbon tweeter, check the Uruz speaker by Tekton Designs. Tekton is a small company in Utah and the name of the designer is Eric Alexander. He is willing to cutomize your speakers acccording to your needs.

Ah, not looking to upgrade - I like mine. Just one of those things to experience. I might need to just go to a speaker convention at some point. Geek out and learn along the way.
