Please see Vincent N Roxxy. Kravitz is really strong in that film. Also liked her small role in Dope too.

This is hands down one of the most beautiful comic book movies I've seen next to Watchmen and Zack Snyder's Justice League. I do love Zacks take too btw, love Tim Burton's probably number one still, but filters weren't a thing back then really. So even though they were fantastical they still had a grounded look. I love the way BVS and Justice League looked, and this looks similar mixed with Nolans look. But this is like a David Fincher fever dream, almost looks like Alien 3 in a way.

The shots in this are almost otherworldly. Honesty looks like next level stuff here.

You can make this decision after only seeing 5 minutes of footage?

Way too dark and barely anyway to make stuff out and it's so hypocritical for many of the same folks praise this but trash others... Then there's the crappy muscle car as the batmobile in today's world. Might have worked in the 60s but....

To a degree yes, but I guess I will reserve judgement until I see the film. But looks gorgeous so far

Dally, if you thought Nolan's Batman movies were so weak, apparently, why are you getting wet over this already? They seem similar in some ways.

I've had a love/hate relationship with the Nolan films over the years, although I actually liked The Dark Knight a lot when I re-watched it on UHD a while ago. Obviously there's gonna be similarities because The Batman is, well, a Batman film, but I think the stylised aesthetic distinguishes it from the Nolan trilogy. I've always thought Nolan's films were kinda bland visually (sorry, Nolan fans).

Also, I'm a Bat/Cat stan, and there's more sexual chemistry between Pattinson and Kravitz in five seconds of footage than there was between Bale and Hathaway in the entirety of The Dark Knight Rises.

I think the main distinction for me is that this looks more confined, whereas the Nolan trilogy is epic. I love the Nolan trilogy, but hand to hand action is its Achilles heel, and this looks like it will excel there. I highly doubt a Batman will ever top TDK for me personally, but War for the Planet of the Apes was almost on that level. Otherwise, yeah, similar tones.

Nolan Trilogy is overrated to me and the worst actual Batman with a supporting cast that easily outshines him.

This looks like the Batman film I've always wanted. Hope it's as good as the trailer is.

I'm just glad we're getting a Batman with one aspect ratio again.

He'd one of my top choices if I got to choose. And when everyone realized how amazing this is we'd get a Superman Beyond adaptation too.
