I was able to use paypal before for some games I wasn't able to use my card but that was years ago and now I want to buy Monkey Island 3 and 4 but I wanted to update my paypal since I got a new one but its gone. I hate to use my card but I might have to.
What's the deal with not taking paypal anymore? |

I never used Pay Pal directly thru Steam before and never even knew it was an option. You can use Pay Pal thru Humble Bundle (or a few other sites but not sure which ones to trust but I have used Humble Bundle with no complaints so far) and they'll give you an activation key to put into Steam to link the game to your account - just have to be sure to purchase the Steam version as they now have games from other places like Epic.

I just used Paypal via steam last week. The big sales on Steam often cause glitches on steam. I've seen several times during sales throoughout the year where Paypal stops working correctly when trying to pay for Steam games. I even saw games disappear from the store when viewing through the client directly during this past winter sale. I thought I'd be smart and use the browser but it refused Paypal there too. Tried again a few days later and the game finally appeared for purchase through the client via Paypal.
