The way I'm using my wall mount is defeating the purpose of my LG model. The GX is rather thin and designed to be flush. The model didn't come with a stand , but only a wall mount(which I'm not using).

I happened to still be using my old mount I had on the plasma. I do have the TV pull out just about all the way..
sooooo, believe me, I understand wanting it closer. lol

I measured the display is 18.5in from the wall, and with a tilt. I gotta have that tilt.

So your articulating wall mount moves your tv 18.5” closer? I like that idea.

Yup, the old mount weighed too much to remove, and would have been too much trouble. That's probably another way of saying, "Just too darn lazy".

Yeah, I’d like to move closer to the tv. But it just seems like a lot of work.

Well,BD, it’s not just HT. Think of it as an oasis away from the hectic hustle bustle of the forum. We tackle all kinds of subjects. HT, good food, movies, sports and even love. That’s right. Doc Wabo imparts wisdom and advice. Free of charge. Use at your own risk. So put a dime in the juke box or a movie in the Player and pull up a bar stool. Get comfy.

I tell ya, SD. The natives are restless.🧐

You pick up your Black Widow Steelie? Was planning on watching mine but wouldn’t you know there’s a plethora of stuff to watch at the moment. It got put on the back burner. Seems it’s feast or famine.

No 4K MCU movies? Not a one? None? Zilch? Nada? Who is this and what have you done to the Cosmic Pop?

I didn't pay for the premier access either. But figured what the heck. ScarJo running around in a tight outfit for 2 hours can't be too bad. I've spent more for less. But that's probably a topic for another time. I will say I've gotten spoiled with first run movies premiering at home (HBO Max, Disney+) at the same time as the theaters.

i said i bought about 4 i'm more selective abut buying the movies. it has to be something super special. i used to buy shit just because it came out on video. i've got movies i've had for years and never watched. lots of money spent, so, i'm just more careful and thoughtful about what i'm buying.

there are some special things that i'll be buying for sure.

i saw Black Widow at AMC Dolby Cinema with my Daughter and like it. i do enjoy streaming 4K/DV/HDR/ATMOS movies and shows and they look really good to me and sound good too. only stuff that is truly near and dear to my heart will i buy on disc.

another thing, it's hard to find good or half good quality 4k players. i'm always concerned about what if the player(s) i have start to NOT be able to play movies, will i be able to find decent players in the near (or distant) future. i'll have the discs forever, but, will i always have access to a player forever?

so far, my NFL season isn't great, 0-2 yet again. but, that's life.

time for me to go put my protein shake in the freezer for my workout this afternoons workout. these 17.5" arms won't pump themselves up!!

Yeah, I'm much more selective in my movie purchases too. I still have some that I've never opened. Lol. I'd say about 98% of all my viewing is streaming.

Last movie I saw in the theater was Sonic the Hedgehog. Took the fam to that then BAM! The vid hit. Haven't been back. I do have my ticket to the new Dune tho... my HBO Max ticket. Oh yeah, baby. I'll have the best seat in the house. With cold beers and a pause button for bathroom breaks. Never understood how 3 beers turns into 50 gallons of pee.

Tis true and sad the 4K player market is drying up. There's Sony and Panasonic. Don't recall if Lucky Goldstar still makes a player or not.

Your Giants should have won last night. Special teams coach probably had small heart attack. Lol. But at least they covered.

I brought in a couple of friends to help lube your 17"...

I wish Sony promoted this about a year ago for the ps5. Their own next gen console wasn't a good fit for the TV's they had at the time. A year later.

Don't misunderstand, I love my LG, but I would have gotten this Sony instead.

I stay up way too late watching stupid stuff just to keep watching this tv. The other week I damn near ordered a set of the Ninja Foodi Neverstick Cookware at 2am.

I'm not a gamer but dayum! This has me thinking about it...

P.S. How's Foundation?
