Default Whats up with that?

Today I received a order that I made for King of Queens the complete series on dvd. Enclosed with my very nice box set was a 3 page ad asking" How do you view your High Def?" and then it is all about HD DVD.

What the hell is that about? I was so pissed. Has anyone else gotten that?

It's OK. I just don't like the guys dad. The guy from Seinfeld. That guy makes my skin crawl.

I figured this was just a smart move by the HD DVD camp, but I looked up the companies for that show, and it looks like Sony is the one with the home video rights in the US. But CBS and Paramount are involved in the show. If Sony owns the rights and somebody else snuck that in there, they should get to the bottom of what happened.

If you notice he did not say it was in the DVD. So I am guessing it was part of the packaging. Based off the fact of enclosed with my part. And if that is the case then the company that he ordered from, Amazon I would bet, has parterships with other companies to put stuff in there.

So nothing wrong happened here it is actually good marketing on the HD DVD side since it is probally going out with every SD DVD sent out.

It’s probably a Paid Advertisement. HD-DVD probably paid them to put X amount of ads in their orders. It’s a good business even though it won’t help HD-DVD in the long run.
