I own Rare Replay on disc but given that Goldeneye will likely cost at least $10CAD like Perfect Dark was all those years ago, I just bought Rare Replay digitally which is currently on sale for $7.49CAD.

I assume the disc version will get patched with the game, I wonder if the disc will be reissued with 007.

I'm assuming that the disc won't be reissued, although I'd probably buy a reissued version if Goldeneye was on the disc. But I am hoping/assuming that they at least add it as a patch for disc owners; seems like patching Rare Replay for everyone would be the simple way to do it.

This tweet from Rare makes it sound like only digital owners of Rare Replay will get the game added, no mention of an update for disc owners.

I never played this as I wasn't a gamer then. I wonder if this will play like a modern game or an older game with graphics upgrades.

It seems to be a little of both. They modernized the controls by adding twin-stick support, and the graphics look like they’ve been put through through the usual back-compat enhancement filters and the “Heutchy Method.” I guess we will have to wait and see.

Seems digital only. Free for anyone on gamepass or for those who bought the Rare Replay disc. Sadly the game is only split screen multiplayer on XBox, but will support online play for Nintendo Switch owners. Will not be on any of the playstation systems.

Surprised at the framerate dips. So this is free to digital owners of Rare Replay and/or to those with Gamepass.

The AI seemed more braindead stupid than I remember of an N64 playthrough not too long ago. Lot of texture flickering and stuff that seems wrong visually. I'll be interested in a DF video to make sure I'm not just imagining it.

On a Series X. Usually you can do it consistently shooting barrels. Was also getting it pretty bad in the hallways underneath the dam.

It's a strange remaster. On one hand, it's nice they didn't really change the look too much (looking at you 4J on how you butchered the explosions in Perfect Dark) and it's weird seeing fuzzy text but at least the controls mapped to twin-stick much better than Perfect Dark did (and now you can abuse aiming while moving).

Framerate dips though are just odd and I have to agree, The AI has a harder time pathfinding than they did on the N64. The scientists in particular were much dumber than usual.

Not Rare Replay disc, only digital owners of RR get it. They announced that when this was revealed last year, and RR was on sale for $7 digitally, so I bought that, even though I had the RR disc, in anticipation of this release.

I have this still on my N64, however I was hoping for an HD remaster like they did with Perfect Dark. I'll be downloading this later on my XBOX one.
