I'm planning on getting Sony's PSVR and this is something that I have been wondering. I know they will have a virtual cinema mode that makes it look like you are watching movies on a 150" screen. IIRC they stated that 3D movies won't work when it is released, so I am optimistic it is something that is possible.
Any idea if the ones for PC do, or if this is something that is realistic to expect in the future? |

Stereo 3D and Virtual Reality are a perfect combination. I hope I'm wrong and there is a way some developer will present 3D with the PSVR and Rift. That would be a huge selling point for me provided there were enough strong 3D games. |

It is entirely possible to watch 3-D movies on VR/HMD devices. It's just not a plug-and-play option right now, as far as I can tell. You have to convert a movie into a format that your VR/HMD device can read, either off internal memory or a separate drive. Me, I have been delighted with Google Cardboard, and it's not even the very best option out there.

I wonder how the software works in this case. I have seen VR headsets in Best Buy, but every one of them is disabled and not working. |

Thanks for the replies guys. I found this tweet.
Mark Knight @GrimWillows Mar 25 @yosp will #PSVR support #bluray3D in theatre mode? i'm finding it hard to find clear information on this. thanks ![]() Shuhei YoshidaVerified account @yosp @GrimWillows on Day 1 of PS VR release 3D Blu Ray will be shown in 2D in Cinematic Mode. We will continue to develop it post launch. ---- I'm cautiously optimistic, from reading that. I just hope it isn't like a two year wait. So excited for VR. |

![]() ![]() I'm hoping VR does well enough to continue for a few years at least, so 3D could develop as suggested. I still need to see what a PSVR, Rift and other VR device looks like up close in the stores, when I can find one working. I did see a VR headset on display that shows the ability to walk around in other countries as if a tourist, with a set up much like google earth maps, allowing you to be at ground level and look at the different sights. I'm not sure how the resolution is on that, but currently only 2D. |

Thanks BleedOrange. The viewmaster 3D reels work really well from what I remember as a kid. Hopefully some independent developers will create content for stereo 3D soon.

![]() If they want VR to be a thing, I don't know why they can't use it on safer, non-violent videogames like the LEGO series or Ratchet & Clank. |

If someone commits a crime after playing violent VR games they were ALREADY unstable. Games do NOT drive people to commit crimes and again I can provide evidence if you'd like. This is a completely silly argument. |

If a person is mentally intact, an immersive video game will not derail them unless they choose to derail themselves by trying to use the video game as an excuse or training tool. Bottomline is, however realistic or violent they may seem, video games are not weapons to harm other people with like a gun or sword would be. On topic, I'll be more interested in VR once the price drops, the game library grows for a couple years, the technology establishes itself long term and stereo 3D is an option for movies and video games. |

Go on then. I doubt you'll be able to find one (certainly not for PSVR). They all appear to be games like Hitman and Call of Duty.

List of PSVR Games. 100ft Robot Golf is the first game on the list of many non violent VR games. On topic, I don't see any stereo 3D games yet. |

This argument has nothing to do with VR. Normal healthy people are able to distinguish the difference between behavior in entertainment like movies and video games from behavior in real life. There are ratings for parents to withhold inappropriate content from young children if they wish. Reminds me of a QT interview.

Gran Turismo Sport No Man's Sky Dreams 100ft robot golf Adventure time Job simulator Etc.... Seriously just Google the list of games. There is not exorbitantly more violent games on VR than there is already on PS4. Plus Hitman and Call Of Duty aren't even confirmed games. I know you get things stuck in your head and stick to it, but come on now. There is facts against everything you're saying. |
