Default Simple Question,simple Answer?

I Know there is lots of threads about calibration but i read that if you go into the settings it voids your warranty.SO when they do the calibration they have to go into the menues wouldnt that void my warranty?Or it doesnt matter since there authorized?please help thinking of doing this soon

If you access your service menu and play with the settings it will void your warranty. If you have an authorized ISF calibrator get into the service menu and adjust your settings it does not void your warranty.

Why would going into the setting and menus void your warranty?

Because someone who is not trained to make any adjustments like that can do some serious damage to a TV and mess it up pretty bad. They will assume that if the TV breaks and you made your own adjustments from the service menu that it is related to that. If someone authorized makes adjustments, they will assume it is not related to the changes they made, because they should know what they are doing.

If you are really trying to get the most accurate picture, reduce energy costs, and get more detail, then I definitely do. Some people arent happy with it because their TV isnt as bright, although it shouldnt be as bright anyways. And their blacks are quite as deep, because it is artificially enhanced by the manufacturers to make it stand out to you. I think calibrations are great, if I could afford it then I would have my TV calibrated in a heart beat

They have guys that are ISF certified, but see if you can find a private shop. They do things more carefully and on a more personal level. It should still cost the same.
