I lived in Japan for 3 years, and honestly, they are very advanced (more so than other western countries) in some ways, but way behind in others. It was really weird. Like they would have the newest digital cameras and TV's, etc, but the prices were like double what they would be here. So I could come back to the states and get the same camera cheaper in the US.

A lot of people also had these awesome futuristic toilets in their houses, with a little control pad on the arm that controlled the temperature of the seat, the bidet, etc. But then the entire house would have this really primitive insulation so it was freezing in the winter and sweltering in the summer. And my heater for the whole apartment was this portable heater that ran on kerosene. I would have to go to the gas station to fill up the tank and put the heater on a timer so it would turn on in the morning and my apartment would smell like kerosene and I'd be inhaling it as I woke up.

Their transit system is very advanced, and there are definitely some high-tech buildings and electronics showrooms in Tokyo that will blow you away. The music/party scene there is on another level, the amount of sound and production they would put into their electronic music parties was fascinating.

That's one of the reasons I thought this POLL was ridiculous.

India? Russia? China?

What about countries like The Netherlands, France, Australia, etc.....

South Korea is pretty high tech but Tokyo Japan is really the capital of high tech stuff.
Silicon Valley is very high tech too.

Japan is, you know why? They are the ones who are the reason why machines are going to turn against man. They created the freakin' Asimo. I'm sure it's going to be the first to snap since it fell down those steps at the convention.

Yeah, but that was before John DeLorean outsourced production to Northern Ireland, up until he was busted with the coke.

Also, don't forget, thats a Stickney, not a DeLorean.
