Default The Wide World Of Blunders

It's always fun to make mistakes but it's even more fun to do it while in a foreign country or anywhere you're unfamiliar with
I will let someone else go first although I have a feeling that person will probably be me because I don't think anyone else will post here
But if you got a story, let's hear it!

Weeell, let me tell you about mine Of course there was the car accident in Ireland back in '13 but that wasn't really a mistake.

I made two big ones while in Germany and Austria. I'll start with the second one first. You know I go into detail so bear with me
It's the end of my trip and I'm going to drive back from Vienna to Munich where I will fly home from. So I plug the addy, 77 somethingstrasse into the GPS (which was a lifesaver), and I get a message that that street number isn't available so it offers me 20. Ok cool, that's good enough. Well I get all the way to Munich and I'm nearing my destination which is my hotel and I'm in a residential area. I'm supposed to be at a hotel not far from the airport. I'm looking around and there are no planes overhead, there are no other hotels. All I'm seeing are apartment buildings.

So I drive around and around and I try and ask for directions at a gas station and have no luck. I call mom from my little German phone and have her check the hotel's address. Unfortunately my phone dies because it was out of minutes. I'm pretty upset at this time and it feels weird to lose your temper in a foreign country while you're on vacation.

I had all of the hotel addresses printed out on a piece of paper so I take a look at it and then I realize that I want Freisinger Strasse 77 in Schwaig, not Munich So I plug in the new addy into the GPS but I think there were a few places with the Freisinger Strasse (street) so I had to search for the right one. So yeah, I now have entered the correct info and I find that I'm like 45 kilometers from where I need to be which seemed crazy for me because I've always mostly lived in small towns where 45 kilometers could take you out of town or into a new one.

Anyway, that was my small blunder. I made an even bigger one a few days earlier lol And sorry again I type so much

The only blunder I can think of is when I took my first international flight which was to Paris. When I got there I went through border patrol, got my passport stamped. After that I thought I had to go through another checkpoint through customs I didn't realize I was done going through customs after getting my passport stamped.
