Sounds like what we were trying to do the first few times. We kept getting wiped so one of us stayed back in the entrance, not the one with the door to the hall since that thing spawns above you if you stay in there. But the one just a bit back.

In that room none of the enemies enter or attack you and the thing doesn't spawn in the first room.

So two of you can just run out and spam the boss without risk of being wiped since the 3rd man can't be killed.

Both times I've just gone out Rambo style blasting his stomach whilst trying to hide behind the pillars as he fires his eye lasers. At the same time my buddy hangs back in the entrance (the second one back, because if you stay in the first one by the door the big laser spawns above your head). That way I die I just have to wait the 30secs to respawn then repeat.

Yhere's got to be an easier way?

Here's what's worked for my group:

First and foremost, do not shoot the ogre or run through the middle until your team is set up.

Start off pushing around the left side. Jump up on the little ledge on the left (we'll call that west) wall. Take down the enemies on the upper central platforms. From there, move down to the lower platform on the north side. Again, clear out the enemies as they approach. Now push around to the northern portion of the east side on the ground level. Don't worry about the upper level too much. Post one player here and another on the lower northern platform. The third player will be a roving assistant, providing support fire where needed. Now you are set up. Begin attacking the boss and he will break free from his chains.

The east player should attack the boss as much as possible. Aim for his belly when you can. The north player should focus on the boss when there aren't any other immediate threats that he can see. The rover will mainly focus on the non-boss enemies but should put shots on the ogre when possible.

If one player goes down, the rover should res them. If the rover goes down, the closest post should res them. If there are two players down, the third should take cover and minimize engagements until one auto-respawns (30 seconds).
Be sure to take special and heavy weapons with fire damage. The wizards are weak to this.

The Vanguard Strike play list is match making, but you can party up before hand and do them. The Weekly Heroic Strike has no match making.

So I would invite or be in invited to a party of 3 and strike leader will choose the mission? And I assume I do this from orbit? I've had a fellow member join me in the middle of a mission before, but it was the tail end of my mission so he joined just as I was delivering the final shots to some boss. So we never actually got to team up.

Yes, the fireteam leader would choose, and yes from orbit.

So the new raid requires 6 L26+ players in order to play? I heard it will take at least 5 hours to complete too. Might be hard to find that many people willing to commit that much time...

You dont have to do it in one sitting. Progress saves so you can come back later.

With the same 6 people though right? Or at least the other players need to join the same leader in order to continue.

Yes, I think the leader has to be the same for progress to save.

I'm going to be on about 4pm uk time, I need to do the summoning pit but instead of killing the ogre we need to just kill the adds that spawn until a sub boss spawns then kill the sub boss. I just need 1 person to run it with me since I've already got 1 person lined up to help out. So if there's anyone on about then feel free to add me

Hey guys, not been able to post much in this thread but hope you're all doing well with the game. I've had a chance to play with some of you, but it's difficult given the tinezones etc. to team with you all

I hope you've found many clan members in your timezone however and managed to team. The raid will be an extremely challenging task for you all, and should prove a good team building and bonding experience. Hope to team with some of you, but soon I feel i'll be switching like many of you to playing the new releases and flitting on and off until the expansions hit.

Hello fellas I need an emergency team to run the Raid tonight at around 830 PM - 11 Pm

Completely know what im doing have 1 more who can do it as well we've both gotten through Twice know the strategies for both Major Bosses. Looking to really get a solid team of 6 so that next week we can try and tackle hard mode. Let me know if anyone is interested.
