Good thing MediaOCD worked on this rather than Shout! Factory. Shout! Factory: Outlines? What are those?

Seriously, GKIDS and Eleven Arts releases end up with hard to read at times subtitles because of the lack of good outlines. They're usually quite similar to the Netflix example from here.

As for the deleted Live-Action scene, you're right. There aren't any subtitles for that scene. On that a second screenshot you can see I'm using a drop-down menu on my computer to see the sub options.

This is weird, because the trailer for EoE, which uses some of the deleted live-acton footage, *is* subtitled.

....also, the Making-of special feature specifically *for* the live-action scene is subbed for both signs and dialogue.

This is beginning to feel like an oversight?

Subtitles are missing. It would be nice to get a replacement. But overall not a big deal.

Note that the four audio tracks are Japanese 2.0 / 5.1 and English 2.0 / 5.1 (all 24-bit DTS-HD MA). Also, the 4+ minute long instrumental "intermission" between Death and EoE has been cut out and a 5+ minute silent English credit roll has been appended to the end.
That's a shame. I really liked the intermission music.

For those disappointed at the lack of subtitles for the deleted live-action scene from EoE, there is a fan-subbed version of it at Evamonkey.com available to download. It's not exactly high-res, but still legible and watchable.

I'm hoping we hear about a disc replacement program soon. Gonna email Gkids later to inquire as I've seen others do.

What is the replacement for? Just the Subtitles or was there something else I missed?

The live action sequence is missing the subtitles. There was a mix up.

Oh, okay.
Hopefully they fix it before the collectors and limited get released.

They would have to delay both if that were to happen.

I don't care enough to want a replacement. Doesn't seem worth the hassle. My opinion.

Is the live action sequence the only bonus feature that is missing subtitles?

From what many have posted that have the sets in hand.

wasn't the sequence apart of the movie when manga released on dvd? or has the live action stuff always been cut.

There is still a live action sequence in the movie, but there's further live action material that was cut from the film before its original release. That's what's in the extras.

So to sum up - there are two live action sequences. One is in the movie and has subtitles. The other is in the extras and does not have subtitles even though it is definitely supposed to.

Yes. The deleted live action sequence in the extras does not have subtitles due to an oversight. Will it be corrected, who knows.

I mean, it's literally just sending an email in every instance I've had to do it. Not much hassle at all.
