It'll be on Peacock 8/12, so no need to further go out of pocket for it if no 4K disc release.

I still enjoy the hell out of a non 4K disc. Lossless 7.1 track alone makes it an easy decision for me.

I’m patiently waiting for Comcast to break up with Disney over Hulu’s existence so it can fade away. Meanwhile we can watch the great beached whale that HBO max is now that Discovery is trying to add their reality shows to. Thanks for that tidbit.

The digital 4k DV / Atmos is $24.99, so that's a no-go from me.

If the spouses second cataract surgery goes well we plan to attend the Audio Advice Live event at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel in Raleigh, NC, info here. My ticket is for Sunday, August 21, I hope to get a look at the new Sony VPL-XW6000ES projector.

Covid: Got my second booster last Friday at the VA*. Previous shots were Moderna vaccine, the last booster was Pfizer vaccine and they assured me it was safe to mix. So if I stop posting it could be that it was not safe.

*In the USA we have Veterans Affairs medical facilities for military veterans and refer to them as the VA.

I wish your wife the very best.

Enjoy looking at all the new toys. You might want to keep a tight grip on your wallet, though.

You'll be fine with the mixed vaccines. I am due for my second booster in about a week. It will be my fifth shot as I initially had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and then later the Moderna vaccine. Pfizer is the only one I haven't sampled. If I can survive mixed vaccines, so can you.

Good Luck and I hope you get a good demo of the Sony PJ. I've owned several Sony projectors since 1999. I really like them and the reliability has been great.

I have been enjoying having a JVC Laser based projector since January and have already put nearly 700 hours on it.

Default A strange experience, making your own funeral arrangements.

We have chosen to be interred at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at Black Mountain, NC. We have made and paid for all funeral arrangements. This includes insurance that will transport us back to NC in case we decease while traveling. Really hope not to need these services for sometime.

Was sad to learn about the passing of Olivia Newton-John. She had a tough time with cancer.

I want my own pyramid to be built and I want to be entombed with all of my toys (and servants) like the pharoahs of old.

It was sad to read about Olivia Newton-John. May she rest in peace.

Do they come with the covers, Blu-ray disc and code? Or is it just the 4K disc?

and

Every one of them an upgrade to something that I already owned, but that's always been how this hobby works.

Everything. Slipcovers, too, if applicable. There are times where I may rent one and it comes in the little cardboard mailer by itself, but then I keep it and GF sends me the case, artwork, digital copy, etc.

People should really go in for that Heavy Metal 4K set since it is OOP for $17.99 used. They will get the steelbook, digital copies, and Heavy Metal 2000.

Heavy Metal 2000, on blu-ray, is only included with the 4K steelbook edition and it is therefore the edition to own:

Reportedly, the regular 4K edition does not include it.

Correct. I have the steelbook edition. Got it used from GameFly. When I decided to keep it they charged me $17.03 plus tax ( I do get that additional 5% off for being a renter) and they sent me the steelbook, and the rest of the contents a few days later.

Thank you for the info (I think). I ordered too many, including Heavy Metal, but the deals were too good to pass up.

I really enjoyed my copy (even tho Best Buy sent me a dented in two places steelbook ).

I had so much fun seeing Heavy Metal again after all of these years that I actually watched it twice in a row in a single session. I almost NEVER do that.

I hadn't seen Heavy Metal since the mid-late 90's, when they released the THX remastered version on VHS. I rented it on GF, and from the opening segment in full 4K / Atmos, I was pummeled (in a good way). It's a demo-disc as far as I'm concerned. I had to keep it!
