Didn't experience it this time.

Accidentally bought a Steelbook and didn't realize it till it arrived in the post box.

At least it doesn't seem damaged and I don't think it cost extra and ... it's kind of cool looking. I prefer standard packaging but the occasional Steel book is fine.

Was happy with the price of this one too..

Good job! You'll be ordering by the dozen plus before you know it.

I was undecided about Bullet Train, but I am more inclined to get it after your enthusiastic endorsement. I don't generally pre-order stuff unless it is a limited edition, so I will wait until its released.

I noticed elsewhere that you were not a big fan of Thor Love And Thunder. How bad is it?

For projector owners with scope screens and using lens zoom for scope content. As you are aware if you are zoomed in then you can not see the menu items for those movies. I have a HTPC in the home theater and currently have a LG 24LF4820-BU TV/Monitor for the PC and AVP. While searching for a way to split the HDMI video for waveform monitoring I came across the AV Access 4KSP12-S (here). It does not have any EDID settings to set but it will downscale HDMI 2 Out to 1080 if you have 2160 content as a source and sinked on HDMI 1 Out.

Have HDMI 2 out going to my patch panel so I can connect to the TV monitor or Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G card. The listed Monoprice cables have not been purchased yet but they are in my cart. A drawing of my HDMI connections:

[Show spoiler]Used up all my HDMI connections to the AVP so for D-VHS viewing I have it come thru the Oppo 203.

Golly gee it looks complicated but I"m sure it's a once setup it's good to go type of thing.

I did have 3 memories setup on my PJ - 16/9, IMAX, and Scope but I tend to forget to notice the IMAX black bars.

I never did use a lens for AR ... Always just zoomed.

Bearing in mind, most people now have access to fibre speeds in the hundreds?

I stream let’s say, Greyhound in 4K on Apple TV via wireless.

Next night, I stream the same film, but wired.

What differences do I see or hear?

Let’s strip this down to the basics.
You tell me I don't have Apple TV. Greyhound is a good Movie, I saw it in Texas when it came out on a Cousin's OLED TV that had Apple TV. So when you watch it over Wireless do you see all the Artifacts and does it Stream smooth with no breaks or Pixelation? Then when you Stream over Ethernet is it the same or does it look better?

I guess I am the only one that doesn't have any problems Streaming from any Provider. Wendell wants some Diagnostics Proof I'll see if I can work on that. I think I have an idea why my Network is better. My ISP CSN uses CenturyLink to access the Telco Fiber Backbone. So I have Fiber all the way!

First there is no way using a wired connection versus a WiFI6 connection you'll see any difference. Pixelation is a product of a filter or compression used to fit a video into a reduced Mbps bitstream. You're watching Apple TV plus SVoD its using about 18 Mbps peak bitstream. Thats not even comparable to iTunes up to 32 Mbps peak bitstream. If you were encountering high latency, a bitstream that low buffers the content several seconds ahead so it would take server issues for you to see it completely pause. Not the you would notice an absence of artifacts particular evident with near black or near white video scenes. WiFi router technology is way superior to years ago meaning you got the ability of using a high speed processor to multiplex your bandwidth to multiple devices at full ISP speed. There is no lag with games, something that is a lot more apparent than discussing breaks or pixelation of only a 18 Mbps bitstream with streaming heavily compressed 4K content.

Please note I am not discussing MESH wifi and that method introduces lag comparably.

Sorry, the intent of the graphic was meant to be just a guide and one way to see menus when zoomed in.

Part of my job at work was write equipment bids for purchase, design equipment layout, document connections, etc. In my avatar there is a Harrison audio mixing desk behind me, that one piece of equipment alone had several hundred wires connected to it. I used a flat field database (FileExpress) to document all the wires. Each wire had a label on it that I printed using WordPerfect and printed on Panduit Labels. Did this for all the equipment in post audio and the video/audio edit suites.

The equipment rack behind the audio desk:

How did you come to that conclusion?

I am not having any problems streaming. I watched three hours of Netflix last night over my wireless network without any issues and I plan to resume watching Rings Of Power tonight on Amazon Prime the same way.

Amazon Prime has given me trouble in the past, but everything has been fine for quite awhile now. With my new Asus Router RT-AX82U (802.11ax) I can reliably connect to my network two neighbors over.

One thing I have't noticed with modern WiFi6 routers is any issues with a reasonably active WifI spectrum, there is never a instance that the signal levels cause any reason for the router to switch channels being used, they simply are all distinct and not interfering with each other.

He probably still uses an ancient B or G router and thus has no idea how far router technology has advanced since then.

Two things, 1 - you have no idea about video aberrations because I would wager your TV is in SOE mode so it covers up what others see because they have their display set to FilmMake Mode or something akin to it. 2 - You have no idea if your network is better or worse than others because you have no way to test. Most speed test does nothing in terms of testing between you and the CDN. NOTHING. AFAIK the ATV4K is the ONLY consumer device that indicates network bandwidth between it and the CDN (Prime Video, Vudu, MA, etc.)

Once again, in the videos the guy stated he had a gigabit fiber and hardwired to his ATV4K. For some providers his network bandwidth was > 300 Mbps and for other providers his bandwidth < 6 Mbps. A measure of data rate between CDN and client (him). You are the only one here that does not understand this concept. What is your difficulty in understanding this?
