Their home owner or renters insurance provides some coverage but you would need an umbrella policy to cover it all in the event of fire or theft. There is a risk involved. Don't forget that.

But most also use their ISP for watching movies, TV shows or sports. If you wanted, you wouldn't have to pay a dime for content there are so many free services now.
I am paying for that space no matter how I choose to use it. Whether I place movie shelves along my walls or hang fuzzy black light posters instead, my cost for that space is unchanged. It is not like I have to feed and water my discs.

Pretty much everything that we do involves risk, but that doesn't mean we have to insure ourselves against every variety of it. Most of us probably don't insure much of anything beyond our home, a tiny portion of its contents, and our cars.

Obviously, those who use a lot of bandwidth need a more robust internet service, but those that just use the internet for more basic purposes do not.

I already consider my streaming services cost to be zero as I detailed earlier.

I no more factor the cost of internet service into my viewing expenses than I do the cost of powering my home theater devices. I use the internet for too many things to peg its cost upon streaming alone the same as I use my electricity for too many things to attribute it as a disc watching expense.

Probably works for some, does not work for us, we are out in the sticks. Walmart visits, 2 to 3 times a month to pickup orders made ahead of time. Local grocery (no Redbox) visits, very few a month. Walmart (via FedEx) and Amazon deliveries, every 2 to 4 days.

As a private individual there is no requirement to do so but if you operated home business and claimed your ISP cost as a deduction then you would have know how much was personal use and business use. If one really wanted to know I could come pretty close to calculating the energy expense of my home theater cost per month. Since there no monetary advantage to do so I have no inclination to do such at this time.

For me, I find discussion about upcoming disc, sound tracks, bargains on disc or even some new stuff on streaming much more interesting. “And I am unanimous in that” (Mrs. Slocombe).

You're a scary guy.

I have all of those except for Reindeer Games; that must mean that I am kinda spooky, too.

I can't find any movie named Feast that has Ben Affleck in it, though. Executive producer doesn't count.

You are correct! Strike that one from the list. And yes, you are equally as spooky.

So you just ignored the part where I said "or additional cost over the cheapest available internet service"?

My internet costs $50 per month and that's the cheapest option in my area. If I did lots of streaming I would have to spend an additional $50-$80 per month to increase the speed and remove the bandwidth cap.

Unless you're going to the grocery store two days in a row one you'd still have to make a special trip to Redbox.

Well, I guess it would still work if there was a Redbox near where one works or goes to school.

I do know people that go shopping damn near daily, but I'm sure not one of them.

Have Phantoms as a fair horror movie and because it was shot at Georgetown CO. In the 80's and 90's spent a fair amount of time around Georgetown, Breckenridge, Basalt, Carbondale, Ouray and other small towns in the Colorado Rockies.

I would have to rank The Accountant as my favorite Affleck movie. I was not expecting to love it, but it surprised the hell out of me. Pretty pumped that there is a second one in the works. I haven’t popped in the Last Duel yet though.

I did a doubletake when I saw the name "Carbondale" in your post; there's one in Illinois, too, and I live very close to it. I would guess that the one in Colorado is a lot more scenic, though.

While we have our favorites we try to see the beauty in all types of terrain. Unfortunately, many humans can really trash up some of our most beautiful country sides. In the 90's we were in IL several times, there were lots of old farm lands with old home sites and large corn fields that were interesting to look at. Visited Arthur IL (here) a couple of times. Just did a little virtual tour up Hwy 51 north of Carbondale.

You didn't see much of interest then, did you?

Actually, the terrain gets a lot better when you go south of Carbondale on U.S. 51. Lots of rolling hills, Giant City State Park, Shawnee National Forest, and there are some nice homes with great views over wide valleys. Illinois Highway 127 South of Murphysboro makes for a nice drive, too.

Tuscola is near Arthur, Illinois. I have some very bad memories of that place. I had a passenger die onboard my train and we were stuck there for hours waiting for the coroner to arrive. Another time I had to detour around Tuscola because a tornado had literally removed several hundred yards of track.

Well no but one never knows what is around the next bend in the road.
Tuscola is near Arthur, Illinois. I have some very bad memories of that place.
Understood, years ago I arrived at a small short stop close to my home and found the owner dead. Cash drawer was open but had cash in it. Went next door for help and owner lady said he had a history of heart problems.

Tornadoes was one of the motivations for us to relocate to our present address. It was very stressful for me to hear the weather siren blasting several times a year.

Arcola IL, stayed at a RV park there in the 90's. We had a great little travel aid in those days called a “Road Whiz”.
