Default Unpopular Video Game Opinions

Dynasty Warriors is the greatest franchise of all time!

Actually, I think it's unpopular to even suggest these games are good.

So, here we are, all fellow video game fans; let the bickering begin!

If you don't know what these threads consist of, basically you say an opinion of yours that deviates from the normal consensus.

Example:

UO: Perfect Dark > Goldeneye 64

I hate Dynasty Warriors, mainly because I've never been able to get a grasp on the controls. Mortal Kombat continues to rock to this day.

Am I in the right thread?

Let me be the first to say: Grand Theft Auto IV was a lame game, with bad controls, boring mission design, annoying characters and a stupid plot! And so I never bothered to play GTA V.

I guess this is a UO:

Never really played more than three hours of a Pokemon game.

SNES > Gamecube > NES > Wii > N64

I actually haven't even touched a WiiU

Pokemon games on every Nintendo system can be summed up in two words for me: My Childhood.

I was more of a Yu Gi Oh guy, and the video games of that franchise were pretty bland to say the least.

I had a Wii U for awhile, but I traded it in for my PS4. Now all the good games are out for it, so I might have to go back and pick up another system eventually.

N64 > Gamecube > SNES > Wii > NES (never even played one)

- The original Metal Gear Solid is still the best in the series. I know Snake Eater is the fan favourite but no. I actually think it's the weakest of the main four games.

- Resident Evil 4 is weak. I appreciate that it was ground-breaking but I find it rather bland and overly focused on combat.

- Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is an underappreciated masterpiece and better than the trilogy that followed.

- Devil May Cry 2 is brilliant and I'm baffled as to why it's so maligned.

- Vice City remains the best Grand Theft Auto game. Love that eighties vibe. I was never a big fan of San Andreas.

GTA V is really fun, but It's a game (and a series) that I admire more than actually enjoy playing. Dealing with car insurance and buying houses through real estate services isn't what I want in video games.

GTA V is better than GTA IV, but Vice City owns all.

You speak wise words.

Resident Evil REmake is still the best RE game, and the remastered version of it on PS4 is incredible to say the least.

Agree with your opinion on MGS. For me it is 1 > 2 > 4 > 3. Though to be fair it is one of my favorite franchises ever, so I love all four games!

I assume this is a UO: Unreal Tournament 3 is by far the greatest multiplayer FPS game of all time.

My personal favourite is probably Resident Evil 2, but the original game and the remake come in very close behind. Yes, the remastered version is stunning! I've been watching my fiancee play it (again and again and again) the last couple of weeks.

The Tomb Raider series is my favourite franchise but the first Metal Gear Solid is my all-time favourite video game. Absolutely adore it.

MGS4 is my favorite.

Anybody else love the Ratchet and Clank series. I think they are hilarious. Speaking of which, what's up with that movie? I heard it was coming out early this year, yet there is no word on it's release date.

UO Zelda games are boring, feel lifeless and outside of the cool soundtracks have no redeeming quality for me. Also Final Fantasy 8's junction system is the best battle system in any of the series.
