I am really looking forward to replaying this. I played it through a couple of times, back when I bought my very first Windows PC (also have fond memories of the first Half-Life and StarCraft from the same period).

I am quite certain I still have the old PC CD-ROM discs somewhere in the basement, though IIRC the original cardboard box unfortunately got destroyed in a flood around ten years ago (together with the few other games I had saved, the aforementioned Half-Life and StarCraft and the two Indiana Jones adventure games by LucasArts for the Commodore Amiga. Quite a sad day!)

Have they said anything about when we might expect it (in a perfect corona-free world)?

Me too but I'm not sure whether or not they ship to Germany and if they do it'll be sold out before I get to order it anyways, as usual

This comment has the potential to start a war, but i think that the 1997 BR game is arguably the greatest video game based on a film. Bearing in mind that the story of the game takes place parallel to the events of the first film, and features Sean Young, Brion James, Joe Turkel, William Sanderson and James Hong from the original cast, it really is exceptional.

I can't imagine you'd get many folks arguing otherwise! The only one which I think comes close would be Toy Story 2, which I love.

The idea to make the game take place in parallel with the story from the movie was a stroke of pure genius, in my mind. You get to visit a lot of the locations you saw in the movie, meet some of the same characters, and IIRC even hear the events of the movie referenced, but at the same time the game makers have lot more free room for telling their own story.

Alien: Isolation is similar in its approach, though its story does take place a few years after the events of the original movie.

That's totally it. This is a game that expands on the Blade Runner world, allows players to visit so many famous locations from the film (and i'm talking about Animoid Row, The Tyrell Corporation in detail), the Yukon Hotel etc, all feature, whilst moving into new narrative areas.
