Yes he should. Maybe if enough fans of the film bring this to Paramount's attention, then just maybe they will correct the image before copies are made and released, but then again, Paramount isn't an indie label and i don't think they care about issues like this or collector's of physical media.

I remember back when Scream Factory announced they were releasing Black Christmas and the image on the slipcover and cover art showed to much of Billy's face which isn't seen in the film. Fans brought this to Scream Factory's attention and they corrected the image before releasing it.

If Paramount went through the trouble of censoring the cover, there’s absolutely no chance they’ll change it back if a dozen fans complain online.

They had better not censor the Debra Winger mechanical bull riding scene. It's one of the sexiest scenes ever committed to celluloid.

The beer bottle would be displaying the brand label.
I'm guessing given the earlier issue with the cola sign in Grease that this is a similar situation.
It wasn't an issue on the DVD cover because the image was cropped to leave out the label.

I really couldn't care less about the tweaked art on the jacket. I've been waiting a hell of a long time for a watchable copy of this in HD. The release won't be under very good circumstances for me personally, but that's the way it goes. Just have to suck up the heartbreak and take little pleasures wherever you can get them I suppose.

Hopefully Paramount scrubbed all of the beer bottles throughout the entire movie (which will be hard since most of the movie is in a bar). We don't want any kids to get any bad ideas by watching this happy family-friendly movie.

Funny enough, I think a lot of parents took their kids to the theater to see this when it opened, expecting a Grease type of movie.

Great write up on the 35th anniversary in Texas Monthly - worth a read for fans of the movie:

And the brand on the label cannot be seen on my current DVD cover.

The Sony logo on the camcorder has always been optically censored on the cover for sex, lies & videotape (including on the Sony releases of it!)

Really glad this is coming, its been among my most wanted blu-ray's for years. Also glad it will be a real disc, and not a BD-R. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for a BD-R unless it was something ultra rare.

That cover image does look really awkward with the cropped out bottle. They should have just gone with a different image. Or altered it so it looks like he's holding a bottle label side in (facing him).

Never seen this, but placed a blind buy order to support Paramount releasing new to blu ray catalog titles.

I mean, or just obscure the label...not that hard, folks.
