2 minutes later it was cancelled:

Unfortunately, your recent order of $65.95 has failed our verification process and been cancelled.
We have not processed any payment
However please note that a pre-authorisation may still appear in your account as a pending transaction which is usually released by your bank within 1 - 3 business days.

. incorrect name, email address, address details or use of characters/symbols in the name fields
. you purchased from overseas (some products can only be purchases from Australia or New Zealand)
. the country your credit card was issued from
. you used a VPN or proxy IP during checkout


I tried turning the VPN off once the shipping options appeared, same thing again.

I just want to give them some money for some goods. This is astonishingly bad IT.

Yep, and the best they can do is shrug and claim they can't even fix it. Their site is just an overcomplicated joke. At least the NZ one works properly but there's certain titles I just can't get here or from Amazon Au. Seems like I'm just never gonna own The Man With The Golden Gun on BD without paying through the nose for a US or UK import

Well one of us must have jinxed it because I just managed to successfully get the order through after all that I used the guest checkout option and didn't enter my name or phone number until *after* fetching shipping options, which seems to be the trick I guess. Enter address first, then select shipping, then name and phone number. Downright bloody weird, they've definitely reached WOWHD levels of glitching lol

Last night I did a chat with Amazon.

I wanted to see when my order of "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" will ship as when I pre-ordered the "Movies 1-6 4K/Blu-ray set", a week had passed and it hadn't even shipped yet and they said "It's out of stock, will ship yours when more stock arrives."

So last night when I asked about SNW, they said "The estimated delivery period is between March 29-April 6."

I told them that I knew that but when will it ship. They said "We don't know. It's In Stock. If you like, you can cancel your pre-order and order it again."

What purpose will that serve????

At the moment everything I'm receiving from the US on the Australian Amazon site requires a signature or otherwise I have to go to the post office the next day and collect it.

Such a nuisance.

That's strange. All that happens with me is they hand it over to me, no signature needed.

Another chat with Amazon US today and it seems instead of shipping things out as soon as possible, they ship them when it's close to the delivery date.
