Default What's with the daredevil movie hate?

Daredevil is one of my favorite superhero movies. I have never read the comics so maybe that's where the hate comes from but why is this movie regarded as one of the worst superhero movies?

I don't think it's one of the very best, but I enjoy it. I've never thought it was anywhere near as bad as it's made out to be.

That's what I thought I enjoyed the movie and watch it often but I always hear it's one of the worst superhero movies they ever made and it get's shoved in with fantastic four.

On that note I really enjoyed both FF films also. I have to say though that I never kept up with the comics for either series.

I liked the first FF movie and never saw the 2nd one or read the comics. But I also really enjoyed Ghost Rider also which a lot of people hated I guess.

I would have liked Ghost Rider one hell of alot more had they used Sam Elliot for more than just the end part... {and even then not very much}

I personally find most films enjoyable, but Daredevil just didn't do anything for me. I don't know if it was the action, the characters, the writing, the plot, the directing (what else is left? ) or what, but once I was finally done with that film, I never wanted anything to do with it again. I wouldn't buy daredevil for 3 bucks. I wouldn't even keep it if it was a gift. First ever.

Look at other superhero films. Soooo much better (except for the absymal FF films)...

Iron Man, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Incredible Hulk (Norton version), Batman begins, The Dark Knight... all much, much better than Daredevil. I never read the comics either, but the film just seemed cheesy and boring to me. It didn't feel like it had any heart.

I rank it next to Ghost Rider as being some of the worst comic book films.

I really would have liked to see Sam Elliot take part in the final fight of the movie.

I enjoy all the films you listed more than Daredevil and consider them in a tier above DD, but I still enjoy it as a pretty good comic book movie.

I think I will finally be seeing this movie tonight for the first time. I'm curious to see how bad (or good) I think it is.

Didn't mind the director's cut, but it wasn't a particularly good comic book movie. Like Wolverine, it would benefit a great deal from an "R" rated script.

It's not a bad movie. It's just compared to other super hero movies, especially recent ones, it seems like it could be better. The Evanescence music ("Bring Me To Life" and "My Immortal") helps the movie IMO.

The guest vocal guy in that song is the singer for one of my favorite bands

You just enjoy bad movies. Nothing wrong with that .. my friend and I enjoyed Ghost Rider because we laughed at it the whole time. We still make jokes about it all the time at work. Anyway, enjoying a bad movie is fine but .. you should be able to realize it is a bad movie. lol

Daredevil sucked because it was extremely corny. None of the characters were done in a way that made you actually care about them. It was just a very amateur movie in almost every aspect. Bullseye is the worst. His opening scene in the bar .. and almost every scene with him is a big cringe. Cringe as in .. facepalm moment.
