Bingo!

Wow, Forrest Gump... really? (A few posts back) I liked it, there are plenty of exceptions to that Oscar rule (Gladiator, Forrest Gump, Lambs, etc.) but for example, this years movies did not appeal to me at all.

I thought I was alone in hating Borat because it seemed like everybody and their Grandma loved it, but reflecting on it years later it seems pretty love/hate.

I forgot, I really, really hated Gladiator. Sorry. The laughable portrayal of Commodus was what did it in for me. Just like the gunfight aboard Titanic killed that movie for me. And the bathtub scene in Fatal Attraction.

Sometimes, Hollywood does one stupid thing and the movie gets totally ruined, to me anyway. It's like the old line in GOLDEN GIRLS, "She had me until the very last...."

For Gump it was the constant running back and forth across the U.S. that ended any hope of my liking the movie.

I don't like the Lord of the Rings series. They're just so long and so boring to me, and everyone looks the same.

I wish it would have been socially acceptable to stand up and applaude during Clerks II when Randell gave his speech on the series. Agree there, while good at the time you couldn't pay me to rewatch them. Throw Star Wars in there too, I can barely get through Empire now.

Bleh I still love LoTR but they HAVE not stood the test of time well and once the third Nolan Batman movie is released, only RoTK will still be in my top 10 of that trilogy.

Leis... Miley was in it for a minute. How can anyone hate it? Ok, people hate HSM2 and she was at the end. People are crazy.

It's at least better than Sleepy Hollow.

I have to go with No Coutry for Old Men and There Will Be Blood. So many people love these. I really cannot stand them!

Armored car/bank heists were cool, but I thought the rest was mundane boring and illogical

That's what I'd say about Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Great actor.

But, boy do I hate Will Smith. Thankfully the best thing I've seen doesn't have Will Smith in it.

Of the films I'm willing to admit are great (almost perfect), despite my dislike for them, I'd say The Silence, Vertigo and Last of the Mohicans (love the soundtrack though).

Hate is a strong word but Angelina is a bit overrated. I respect her as a person though and she looks gorgeous (most of the time).

OK, Gandhi (1982) was a major snoozefest but I thought Dr. Strangelove was a brilliant black comedy. I grew up during the cold war and worked in the defense industry so it probably means more to me. Maybe that's why I can relate to Falling Down (Blu-ray 5/26/09).

"There Will Be Blood" - I found it extremely slow and boring.

Last of the Mohicans - well-done, but bored me to death. I have much respect for Daniel Day Lewis' work, but this is the only one I dislike.

Later, my girlfriend mentioned that it had been recommended to her, so I saw it again, with her, and I liked it even less. Ugh. I suppose many people have a movie they think is a stinker that everyone else seems to like. What's yours?
LOL at the different tastes we all have. Requiem is very high on my all time list.

2 super popular movies that I HATE are Fightclub and Pulp Fiction. I think I am one of the four people on Earth that didnt like Pulp.

I'll be the first to say it. "The Dark Knight" Can't really say I hate it, but the one-time viewing on the big screen was enough and by damn! I got the BD as a x-mas gift. Working a trade exchange by this weekend.

I'm sure I would appreciate Dr. Strangelove if I had been alive during that era, but I'm only 26.

Mine was Wall-E. Thought it was a snooze. I watched it because I thought it looked cool, but I guess I'm just an anime kind of guy. I like hand drawn animation better and it's geared more towards my tastes.

Gladiator too. I knew how it was going to end 15 minutes into the film and has to wait 2.25 hours for it to happen. The Sixth Sense was like that too, but it wasn't as long as Gladiator.

I love anime as well but that's not why I didn't like Wall-E. Just seemed really preachy and it's hard to feel sentimental towards those robots.
