The Hong Kong LD of Disney's "Song of the South" just sold on eBay for about $145.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/153840200828

The jacket is pretty beat up, but the seller states that the disc itself plays fine.

Someone got a pretty good deal.

He's probably singing "Zip-pi-dy Do Dah" right now.

Hard to say if it is a deal or not. I don't think I would pay that much for that condition of disc.

I recently scored a widescreen copy of The Keep for around $70 online. It can be debated on whether or not it was a great deal, but I'm happy to finally have one of my holy grails.

Got a real tough one recently and finished my Halloween 6 run with all 4 versions. Hong Kong and Singapore were especially tough.

Is the Hong Kong one more rare/valuable than the Japanese version?

Extremely. The HK version was rental only so it has far fewer copies in rotation. It also has no subtitles at all, unlike the JP disc which has subs for the songs.

I'd say even at that condition, 145 dollars sounds like a bargain.
