Default Upgraded From My Denon 2313CI AVR

I finally did it, I have upgraded from my Denon 2313CI AVR ( I have had it since 2012) to the Onkyo TX-RZ820.

For the users of Onkyo branded AVR's what's your experience with them been like? Do you like this brand of AVR?

Does anyone here have the Onkyo TX-RZ820? Whats your opinion on it? I am interested in knowing what you think.

I am looking forward to using this new AVR.

Thank You
blurayjunkie.

I've had an onkyo 809 since 2011, it's still going strong. I really like the sound quality of onkyo, dynamic and powerful bass and there well built as well. My next av receiver upgrade will be onkyo again.

Sadly I am going to have to bring this receiver back for a refund, because the hdmi ports stopped working. It seems to be a hand shaking issue. The receiver will either have sound, but no picture, picture but no sound, or not work at all and show a flashing snowy picture. I may get another receiver right away ) don't know what brand) or I will keep my money and wait awhile until getting another AVR.

I agree, my first HDMI AVR is Denon and so will my next one I don'tt want to take a chance on Onkyo again. What ever model of Denon I choose, I know I will be happy with it.

Thanks for the tip, but about a week ago, I returned the AVR I was having issues with and ended up getting the Onkyo TX-NR686. At first I was having some issues with it, but now its seems to have fixed it self.

The LPCM warmup will take some getting used to, I am used to the audio working right away instead of 3 seconds later. I have not watch a 4K movie with this setup, but I have played some video games and I was impressed with the Atmos Audio.

Although I have some energy speakers sitting on my towers pointed at the celiling, I plan on getting a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers to replace them, and to match the rest of my speakers.
