John Woo's The Crossing

Anybody know anything about a possible release of "The Crossing", directed by John Woo, starring Zhang Ziyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro (House of Flying Daggers)?
Will it get either a theatrical release in the States or a blu-ray import release?

It's playing in HK now so it's most likely going to get an English-subtitled HK Blu-ray in March or April.

Any reviews on it? I can't find any, and I'm surprised. I keep getting results for a Russell Crowe film and a Jeff Daniels film

mixed to poor reviews. It sounds pretty bad. Basically saying Woo doesn't know how to handle romance (the majority) but does some good action scenes (the minority).

It's not a sequel. It's a two parter like Red Cliff.

Yeah, reviews haven't been great, but I'm still excited.

Well, if the second part of the film is awesome, then the movie as a whole may turn out good.

A word of caution:
I read that at the end of the first part, a trailer for the second part plays during the credits which basically spoils a lot of the story. So it seems best to just close your eyes or walk away during the credits.

Yes, you're correct eiknarf, I'm at a public computer and it would seem there's a glitch somewhere at my end. My home computer shows them. I will try to correct this problem soon.

Finished the first, and now an hour into the second.
It's strange that so much of the second one reprises scenes from the first. It's like, the second one can almost be called "The Crossing 1.5" being I almost didn't need to see part 1. Haaa. It's pretty much a repeat, aka, the same movie (with extra stuff sprinkled in and faster editing).
I'm wondering if instead of two 2-hour movies, this could have been one 3-hour movie?

I just learned about this one, but i fuess im too late for it....anyone know where i can obtain a box set for a decent price? Really looks interesting....but not paying ebay prices for it....thanks
