If you look at the manual available here:
https://www.lg.com/sg/support/support-product/lg-BP250

You'll see this about the power supply:
"Input: 100-240 V~, 50-60 Hz 0.3 A Max.
Output: 12 V - 1 A"

So it happily accepts US power voltage as well as UK's. That's part of what makes this such a great deal - inexpensive player and easy to convert. No, it can't do 3D, but there are *so* few region B 3Ds not available in other regions. Even Valerian was released 3D in region A in Asia so you can get a copy from there.
Ah, I didn't see it was just a plug situation. If only everyone used the same type of outlet...

Cheers, thanks so much, everyone! Funny enough, I have a few of those adapters lying around from when I use to visit my sister in London. Used those for my phone charger. Didn't realize that's all I needed!

Awesome, glad to hear that you found this info useful! Although it sounds like you're describing a US to UK plug adapter; you need a UK to US plug adapter for this to work. Unless you're importing a US player to the UK which can also use either voltage.

Awesome, thanks for letting me know! I'm glad it's worked out for you.

Mine are still both working perfectly; I just watched Sisters down in the home theater and have The Villainess started on the regular TV. I've definitely been buying more UK blurays than US ones lately!

I bought the LG BP250.
As GrouchoDis said, the player is bare bones & doesn't have a ton of bells & whistles, which was no problem for me.

Works perfectly and have had no issues so far.

Im in the US and just bought this exact player but when I hook it up to my Samsung TV it just says Mode not supported. Change the resolution of the external device.

Any idea on how I can do this if Im not able to connect it to a screen?

Do you have any other TV to try it on? Or even a computer monitor with HDMI?

I think the player auto-detects if it's connected to a PAL or NTSC display - ie, 50hz or 60hz - maybe it didn't do that in your case and is trying to output a 50hz signal on the menu? Possibly even (though unlikely) an issue with your HDMI cable?

It should always go to a white menu screen when you first turn it on.

I feel pretty much the same about whichever region B player I get around to buying. Extra features or region C aren't too important. ebay is probably good enough for me, I don't know anybody in Europe who could find it cheaper at a thrift shop.

For what it's worth my Sanyo TV appears to accept 50hz from the XRGB Mini. Hey, us cheapskates have our moments!
