Hi, as a connoisseur of "art films" I'd like to provide some screengrabs for those interested in purchasing this release.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Your eyes are not deceiving you, and I did not mislabel the pictures. ![]() It is a definite upgrade for those who own the old interlaced, pan and scan, NTSC DVD version. Hopefully Vinegar Syndrome will release this soon. ![]() |

thanks for the screencaps @OP.
it's definitely better than an interlaced pan&scan dvd, but unfortunately in the caps the upscaled dvd and the blu-ray look almost the same to me. there should be so much more film grain and detail. so it really looks like it's an upconverted 720p source. ![]() shame... i also hope VS will release it with a proper new scan one day... |

To be honest I really enjoyed this blu ray. I thought it looked just fine. I feel like people have become way too picky when it comes to certain releases and rightfully so but I really did think this was a nicely put together presentation. I wasn’t blown away but definitely was Impressed by it. Happy to have the mediabook in my collection.

Judging the screen captures posted above, it looks like the upconverted PAL dvd is slightly better.
Look at the screen caps of the blue car with credits. The credits on the blu-ray have defective edges on the letters (which indicate heavy digital manipulation), whereas the PAL dvd has smoother diagonal lines with the letters. |
