Operation Return the Treasure deserves a dub too.

If I remember this special used to be called Stolen Lupin so the swallowtail title is throwing me off. it was one of the specials I was meaning to get around to. I think I've seen every other 00s Lupin tv special but this one.

Probably, it did win that poll they did years ago.

And it's the only one on that poll still not dubbed.

Last Job didn't get a dub, they put it out on blu ray a year or 2 ago.

Yah know, I'd just be happy having them all on disc. Blu is preferable, of course, but the notion of having the entire run on home video in any form makes me thrilled. Dub, sub, DVD, Blu, good movie, bad movie - I'll take it all!

And that was for the best because Last Job sucked.

Oh for some reason I thought that was dubbed.

No, but it's still DVD-only here, so it's not too late.

Green vs Red would be awesome if they got various previous Lupin actors back - imagine a dub with Tony Oliver, Sonny Strait & David Hayter each playing a role!

Yep, no slipcover. Won't match the set now haha.

Yeah, that's bull. I might as well toss out the slipcovers to any others that include when I get them.

Maybe to you, but one of my friends said it is the best Lupin series since Part II.

Speaking of which, I wish I had the money to buy some stuff that are currently on sale. UGH!! At this point, it was pretty much stated Part II will never get a Blu-Ray, right?

Nobody's ever said "never" but I personally think that Part 2 will likely be near the end of Discotek's catalog lupin releases due to its weird HD master situation and episode count

I wouldn't be opposed to being proved wrong

If a full remaster isn't possible i'd be fine with just an SD on bluray release just so the whole tv series can be on bluray disc and not have: pt 1 in a blu case, pt 2 in 4 dvds cases, pts 3-6 in blu cases.

*Last week I order the deluxe edition of 50 Animated Years of LUPIN ... came in today. The numbered edition I got was 669 i'm fine with that

There's also the odd chance TMS might finish the Part 2 dub (obviously Discotek themselves would never fund such an endeavor). It sounds like a longshot, but I didn't think Part 1 would ever be dubbed, so...

I always assumed if Green vs Red was dubbed it would be Tony Oliver and Keith Silverstein for convenience.

Sonny Strait has said he likes playing Lupin and so have David Hayter and Bob Bergen.

Doubt it's realistic to get them all but never say never. Availability, cost and a passionate talent coordinator/producer could get at least 1 of them.

Unless there's another title it would appear Swallowtail Tattoo was the Lupin title in the pipeline being worked on during the last Discotek Day stream.

Still hoping for a Fuma Conspiracy Blu-ray (and re-dub)

It's been a long time since I've watched them but in my honest opinion most of the 2000s TV specials are very forgettable and before the franchise enjoyed a resurgence the general feeling I remember was the franchise was feeling creatively dead and treading water.

Recasting the Japanese voices for most of the characters after The Last Job was a big shakeup. Then there was the Fujiko Mine TV series and Part IV which breathed some new life into the franchise and we've enjoyed more TV series, movies and better written TV specials since.

I'm not saying that we have to do a Kickstarter to get them all back as "Lupin", but if we must, we must and we shall.

I think the Fujiko Mine series and the Takeshi Koike specials went a long way into restoring new life into the series. Probably my favorite era in the series. Recasting the aging voice actors I’m sure helped too, as has been more regular English dubs for the series and Toonami broadcast. It doesn’t feel as much like an “old” franchise now.

HOW DARE YOU NOT CAST BOB BERGEN IN YOUR DREAM DUB!!!!

Seriously tho, that would be friggen awesome. It's be like a Lupin version of the Five Doctors at that point.

Part 6 is a big fat failure on Amazon. Not available until Feb 23rd it told me. I cancelled and reordered from Right Stuf's eBay account.
