Default Anyone have any experience ordering from DiabolikDVD.com???

Are they legit??? I am thinking of ordering a few things from them later on today but since I've never dealt with them before how are they in terms of service??? Do they ship to Canada and if so how much does shipping to Canada cost??? Do they send tracking information once your order had shipped and do they charge duties and things???

Hopefully one of my fellow Canucks will let me know. Cheers.

Yes, they are a legit company, and as far as I know, they are the only truly dedicated specialty seller in North America for horror and cult DVDs/Blu's as well as foreign releases such as limited hardboxes and mediabooks.

Their service is generally good with prompt shipping. The shipping to Canada will probably be $8 minimum and may be higher depending on what you order. I can't recall if they have tracking information, but you will get an email notification when your order ships.

For customs purposes, they list your items as "Used optical discs" so you don't have to pay any additional duties or import fees.

My only problem is that if you order a single item from them, they usually send it in a bubble mailer. In my experience, ordering 2 or more items usually forces them to use a box.

Aww shit. I only ordered one item from them to test them out. It's a steelbook though so hopefully it arrives ok and not damaged.

Diabolik is cool, and run by a movie fan. Legit.

I've had hundreds of Blu-rays shipped to Winnipeg in bubble mailers with no damage and I don't understand why people are so spooked by them. Every one of my Twilight Time BDs (at least 15 with 2 more in the mail right now) have been in bubble mailers and I've never had one than didn't arrive perfectly and still on the hub. In fact, I got a pair of BDs in a bubble mailer yesterday.

Do people really have problems with bubble mailers or is it a case of of, "I heard a story..."? Maybe the shipping gods just smile on me and hate everybody else .

I live in Canada too and have had no problem with stuff shipped in bubble mailers, but I belong to a collector's group on FB and I have seen some bubble mailers completely destroyed by the US Postal Service. To me it's just added security and peace of mind if something is shipped in a box and it's no more expensive than a bubble mailer, so why not?

My first order with Diabolik over a year ago was for a $40 dollar Mediabook and they sent that in a bubble mailer, which was a big no-no for me. Mediabooks, Steelbooks and other collector's items should NEVER be shipped in a bubble mailer. I think Diabolik has improved its service though, but I'll generally order a few items at once to force them to use a box.

My steelbook came today in a bubble mailer and both the steelbook and the disks were fine.

However one of the little plastic thingies that keeps the collectible booklet secure in the inside left hand side of the steelbook was broken. I'm not too upset or worried though as the book can still rest securely in the steelbook. Plus the steelbook itself is in mint condition with no dents and the plastic things that keep the disks securely in the steelbook are perfectly fine.

They are legit. Ordered Don't Answer The Phone from them. Had it sent to my sister's PO box in Michigan (I live in Ontario). Shipping was much cheaper that way.

Very poor experience.
I bought two steelbooks and asked to take care to packaging in the notes, since I live far distant, in Italy.
They use a small box with a bubble wrap bag, the steelbooks were free of float inside.
Because of their poor package, I received damaged products, dents, loose discs and I can hear plastic pieces inside if I shake one of them.
Contacted customer care, they reply on another mail and said the return costs will be credited in the form of shop credit, BUT they don't ship me steelbook anymore, so the shop credit is a joke.
Very, very bad experience.
If that is the assistance and way of packaging, buy with confidence from DeepDiscount or Amazon...

I haven't ordered there in years, but one of the only times I did they sent me someone else's order. Contacted them, shipped it back, then after they received it they waited over a month to ship my actual order. Took some e-mail nudging before they finally replied with "oops, I forgot."

Could have been a one-time fluke, but I don't think I'd ever order there again.

I don't understand what people find in this shop. I usually receive food at home packed better than that...

I've only received impeccable service/packing/shipping from them... for over 15 years now.

I highly recommend them.

Whether you are looking for the ultimate edition of Suspiria or trying to upgrade your crusty old DVD of Cannibal Holocaust, Diabolik's got you covered.

I ordered the Bram Stoker's Dracula and Fright Night Steelbooks last year, and was quite pleased with their service. I'll most definitely be ordering from them again.

Haha, I was just reciting an ad I've been hearing at the beginning of podcasts for a while.

Coincidentally, I never did upgrade my Cannibal Holocaust DVD (not crusty), but at this point I'll just wait for the upcoming UHD...
